Just started watching "Six Feet Under"...pretty good. The humour is quite...dark.

The Conjuring. So good, so well directed, good acting aand based on a true story?? Go watch it.

Yeah, I just saw this on Monday. It was quite good. You don't see too many solid, old-school horror movies anymore, so it's a nice surprise when you do. It had a few legitimate scares in it, too, without being over-the-top gory.

Didn't know where else to put this.  Hilarious video with Jason Sudeikis as an American football coach being hired by Tottenham (soccer).   It's NBC's intro to their premier league coverage

Peter Copaldi. Doctor Who #12.

So I see I get minus-d for that Jason Sudeikis video, too. And I embedded it and all. I'm beginning to think that someone just likes the color red, in small vertical striped.

Anyhow, finally found the correct ones and been watching the last couple of nights.  Shabbs should appreciate it -- Hugh Dillon is part of the cast of S3.

Just watched ep. 10 of season 3. Maybe the most intense hour of television I've ever seen. I'm finding season 3 to be much better than the first two seasons (although they were also quite good). That episode 10 was almost too much for me. Very well done all around.

It was written by Veena Sud -- she is now the show-runner. She's going places. And she's Canadian.

Looking forward to watching the 2-hour finale and trying to be very careful about not seeing spoilers. I accidentally read an article about S2 which gave away the ending. I'm usually not a sopilerphobe and quite often go out of my way to actually read them, but this time I did it by accident -- didn't realize I was going to read about the ending (and it came up in the article quite unexpectedly). That ending (S2) was quite powerful, and I can only imagine what it would've been like if I had not known.

So, this one, I have my theories, that are probably wrong. I've been thinking it was the pervert's mother, but they'd gone out of their way to mention how much strength it would take, so you'd think it couldn't be a woman; plus what motive would she have for the killing Trish?

Speaking of intense, I think the most intense was (for me) several episodes of BSG. The mid-season finale of S1, I think, stands out. That's when we both had to go to work the next day, it was a quarter to 11 and I still hopped in the car and just made it to Blockbuster before it closed just in time to rent the next disc.

Been thinking of BSG recently. The oldest is turning 17 in a couple weeks and the next one is 15-1/2. Definitely old enough, now. Thinking of starting a re-watch with them.

Well, I've got to admit that the ending was a bit disappointing. I had no issues with the S1 ending like many people did (people expected a resolution and never got it -- frankly, I liked the ending). Then the S2 ending was very strong. This one, not so much. And unless my recording cut out, there was quite a bit left unresolved. My recording, it went bang, then they cut to a commercial break, then after the ads were done I got the credits. So I'm pretty sure that was the end. Not very satisfying.

Watching Orphan Black now. Not bad, but will Toronto productions ever learn how to do audio? The music -- if you can call it that -- makes it very difficult to hear the dialogue. I downloaded subtitles but they were about 15 seconds out of synch with the video; made it worse, actually. Wish there was a way to add an offset at the start of the subtitle file, because editing the whole thing to change the timestamps is not gonna happen.

Once that's done, I'm stockpiling episodes of The Bridge.

And I just saw the trailer for S3 of Homeland. It's back September 29 (although it's likely going to take a little longer to get it up in Canada).

My 15 year old wanted to start watching Lost again. Just binge-watched the first 8 episodes on Netflix. That was some great writing/directing/acting/score. Man, if they could have done a 3-4 season arc like they wanted to initially this would have been the best show ever.

Also, downloading Broadchurch to queue up after Orphan Black is done (have 3 or 4 episodes left). Broadchurch is a BBC police drama with David Tennant (2nd Doctor and Barty Crouch Jr. in Harry Potter movies). Supposed to be fantastic.

lost's soundtrack is probably the best all time that was shown on tv in any shape or form.

Same guy who did the original music for The Incredibles (completely different style) and won an Oscar for "Up" (never watched so can't comment).

Man, I've got to re-watch the Incredibles, now.

Not my cup of tea. I want to remember him as Hal, getting his back shaved by Lois, or rollerskating to Funkytown.

Man that Breaking bad episode was so good. This is probably the only show I know where the first 2 seasons are pretty meh and the next 3 are crazy good.

I'll say Sons of Anarchy. The first 3 seasons are meh relative to seasons 4 and 5. Still, I like Breaking Bad better.

Was that episode crazy good though? I thought it was kind of average, based on Breaking Bad's high standards, but maybe it was just that I was really tired when I watched it. The confrontation between Hank and Walter was awesome, though. Should be a wild ride to the finish.
