Yeah the characters in Breaking Bad are definitely better, especially the main 2.

The last episode of TWD had more character development than the last two seasons put together. I *think* they are finally figuring out how to truly make TWD a good show.

LeKing wrote:No, I don't watch to see more zombie shooting but the characters are not that great I find. They are not very developped except the main ones. I mean except from maybe a couple of them I don't really care who dies or not and that's not good. When I was watching Lost I cared about the characters way more than in TWD.
I also find the soundtrack kinda weak compared to other TV shows.

You dissin' Bear???!

That last episode was indeed very good. Top notch.

Episode was good, but the ending was just ok. No cliffhanger whatsoever that makes you impatient for the next season.

Agreed. Right now there is just one cliffhanger I am anxiously waiting to get resolved -- Sherlock.

After watching the first 5 episodes of Breaking Bad, we've yet to watch any more... a general "meh" feeling about it...

It's a very long term show Laugh1
But the characters are pretty awesome by season 2-3.

Please keep watching. You will NOT regret it. At the end of season 1 if you still feel 'meh' about it, then fair enough.

Don't expect him to be "Hal".

Anyway, I shouldn't say anything since I never watched any of it myself. It's just not the type of show I would enjoy (organized crime/violence not my thing).

Breaking Bad does take a while to get fully invested in, but I haven't talked to anyone who has watched the entire series and felt that it's not one of the best shows ever.

Sad day. Roger Ebert has passed away. Just yesterday I'd read that they had discovered cancer in his leg, but since they were planning on radiation treatment I didn't think it was that serious.

R.I.P.

TwoThumbsUp!

Edit: sorry, that icon not meant as a joke, but it's the only one we have for two thumbs up, the staple of Siskel and Ebert's "At the Movies".

Yeah, Ebert had a huge passion for what he did, and that always came through. He was a true icon of the industry...last year, since he had lost the ability to speak, he WROTE 300 movies reviews.
