Yeah I agree, I also was a little bored around season 3. But the end of season 4 is a must watch.
It's one of those shows that get better because the characters get more and more interesting. Jesse is awesome.

Homeland may be one we'll pick up if Breaking Bad doesn't do it. Sons Of Anarchy was good in that it was awesome straight out of the gate, so it made getting into easier. We'll give it the old college try..., Wink

The first season of Homeland is phenomenal...it starts getting a little wacky in Season 2, but is still pretty strong. It should be in your queue.

Also, Justified is a great show for those that haven't seen it.

I'm also enjoying new shows The Following (still hard to see Kevin Bacon on tv) and The Americans (my youngest son hadn't even heard of the Cold War before watching it.)

Speaking of Kevin's that are hard to see on TV, did you watch Talking Dead? Kevin Smith was on it and he's a little out there. I've never seen calves that fat before in my life.

As for Walking Dead, my boys have started watching S1 on Netflix. Not sure how I feel about that -- the younger one is turning 15 in a few weeks, his brother is 18 months older. It's a good show and I guess I should be happy that they like all the shows we like/liked, but it's hard to think of them as teenagers and not little kids.

Glad the show's finally back, but this episode was a bit slow. Darryl??!

I was about 10 when I watched the George Romero Collection. That's why I'm kinda Cussed up now Sarcasm

Those are classics, but TWD more than matches it in gore, then completely tops it with the grit factor.

Yep, TWD is pretty "visual" and definitely more "mind Cussing"

That last episode of The Walking Dead was awesome. Nice and focussed, plus the bit with the hitchhiker at the beginning and the end was chilling. One of the best episodes.

You're a week late -- there's a new one tonight.

As for last week's, it was one of those dividing episodes. Some loved it, some hated. Not too many in the middle. By the way, the writer of that episode is the new show-runner next season, I think.

AMC-HD is *ON*!!!

And now with less shouting: AMC-HD is on Rogers 482 in Ottawa. Channel 59 does not auto-tune to the HD feed. Change your scheduled recording of TWD accordingly.

The last few episodes of the TWD have been kind of lame IMO. They better get the story moving because it's starting to drag on

Maybe you should switch to playing the video game, then. I started watching this show because I heard it was very good. I don't keep coming back each week because I want more zombie action (although I have to admit, they keep coming up with new ways to get your attention). I never read the comics (not that the story is progressing along the same lines, but there are enough similarities) so I don't know what's coming, for the most part. It's the story/characters that keep me coming back, not the action. And the last couple of episodes have been very strong from that point of view.

All that said, however, it's true that I was screaming "Just shoot him" at my TV two weeks ago. But The Governor is apparently signed on for 2 seasons, and this is the US (BBC has shows with 6 episodes in a "series"), so they will drag this out.

Last night's TWD was excellent.

No, I don't watch to see more zombie shooting but the characters are not that great I find. They are not very developped except the main ones. I mean except from maybe a couple of them I don't really care who dies or not and that's not good. When I was watching Lost I cared about the characters way more than in TWD.
I also find the soundtrack kinda weak compared to other TV shows.

Just can't get into TWD... tried, can't do it. Breaking Bad has me spoiled.

Yeah the characters in Breaking Bad are definitely better, especially the main 2.

The last episode of TWD had more character development than the last two seasons put together. I *think* they are finally figuring out how to truly make TWD a good show.
