I'm also enjoying new shows The Following (still hard to see Kevin Bacon on tv) and The Americans (my youngest son hadn't even heard of the Cold War before watching it.)
Speaking of Kevin's that are hard to see on TV, did you watch
Talking Dead? Kevin Smith was on it and he's a little out there. I've never seen calves that fat before in my life.
As for Walking Dead, my boys have started watching S1 on Netflix. Not sure how I feel about that -- the younger one is turning 15 in a few weeks, his brother is 18 months older. It's a good show and I guess I should be happy that they like all the shows we like/liked, but it's hard to think of them as teenagers and not little kids.
Glad the show's finally back, but this episode was a bit slow. Darryl??!
I was about 10 when I watched the George Romero Collection. That's why I'm kinda Cussed up now
Those are classics, but TWD more than matches it in gore, then completely tops it with the grit factor.
- Spoiler:
Like a 10-year-old kids watching his mom delivering his baby sister by caesarian section (no anaesthetic, and the one doing the cutting is not trained), then having to shoot here in the head after she dies from bleeding out. Nice. Or one of the main characters getting bit on the ankle/calk, and they chop off his leg below the knee so the infection doesn't spread -- again, no anaesthetic.
