What Am I Watching Right now? MAJOR BREAKING BAD SPOILERS IN HERE!

I know what I'm watching May 26!

Sad day. Roger Ebert has passed away. Just yesterday I'd read that they had discovered cancer in his leg, but since they were planning on radiation treatment I didn't think it was that serious.

Edit: sorry, that icon not meant as a joke, but it's the only one we have for two thumbs up, the staple of Siskel and Ebert's "At the Movies".

Yeah, Ebert had a huge passion for what he did, and that always came through. He was a true icon of the industry...last year, since he had lost the ability to speak, he WROTE 300 movies reviews.

Just finished watching The Sting -- picked it up on blu ray last week. What a great movie, but my 15-year-old didn't last through it. Watched about half of it, so he missed all he fun stuff at the end. Oh, well, I guess Ocean's 11 (the remake) is more his speed.

Whatever happened to Bleu Nuit?

Tonight's episode of Game of Thrones kicked Donkey at the end, and pretty much started an epic series of events that will culminate at the end of the season and continue well into season 4.

Pretty much the whole Battlestar Galacatica crew will be at Comic Con Montreal in September. Cant wait to meet Tricia "number 6" Helfer

Gillian Anderson will be at the ComicCon here in Ottawa next month. She has aged well.

Is it a stretch to expect something similar to this?

I have never been to a Comic Con, but I assume that's pretty much how it looks.

I just started watching and I like it very much. I still prefer Magnum PI, which I consider the best show ever. I put "24" ahead of Breaking Bad as well.

I found a couple of the early seasons of 24 to be really good...but around season 5 or 6 I just couldn't take it anymore. It became repetitive and ridiculous.

They make a universal touch-screen remote that does a heck of a lot because it is essentially a tablet. They also sell the app itself if you already have a tablet. I've been looking to replace my Harmony and don't really want another Harmony. This one looks promising.

Did you have problems with your Harmony? I love mine.

I've had two. The first (a 520 model, I think, or something in the 5xx) I felt was poorly built -- it was one of those models with a thin front-end, and every time I had to press one of the buttons at the thin end the whole thing creaked. The glow button stopped working after about a year. Some other buttons wore out. It pretty much died after about 3 years. Then I bought an 880 model at a fantastic Boxing Week sale price from Dell.ca (check them out -- very good sale prices and fast, free shipping on everything). It was a great little remote, but the kids weren't kind to it. It lasted maybe 4 years. There were things about it I wasn't crazy about -- could use a backlight for the buttons, and the buttons themselves were very crowded, I felt.

Anyhow, I feel the Harmony remotes are very overpriced for what they bring, especially since they got bought out by Logitech. And they really have not advanced in terms of innovation and ease of use. If you check around, about 6-8 years ago it was hard to find anyone *not* saying they were the best, but that sentiment has slowly drifted.

interesting app...I wonder if it works for xbmc. I'm using remoteX but it doesn't work for tv. Does it only work for devices connected to wifi? If remoteX could control my dish, it'd be perfect...
