With Gonchar and Karlsson, and to a lesser extend Kuba and Campoli we should be top 10 in the league easily.

Gonchar has quietly become #2 in scoring on the team behind Alfie and is on pace for 6G 47A and 53Pts.

Spezza needs to get going and either Regin or Foligno needs to prove they're a top-6 NHL forward.

Lucky for us, the Islanders are one of the most penalized teams in the league and their penalty kill ranks 18th.

Very cool. I'll have to try to get there early.

+1!!! We HAVE to win this one. No joke.

GO SENS GO!!

Regin and Foligno have got to find the net tonight, enough is enough with those 2.

Serious Question: As much as we all love the Senators, will anybody miss the last half of the Sens game and switch over to the Canucks and Avalanche game?

I want to watch Schneider in the net for Vancouver and the game will feature some great hockey as well.

Tough decision or is it?

Yes and no. We'll miss from great hockey but you're going to miss Foligno and Regin popping goals tonight.

If the Sens are winning by a landslide I might flip between the Sens game and something else...

I think Foligno will get one in the first and I'm still not sure Regin has learned to shoot this year yet. So, by the time the Vancouver/Avs game starts at 9:08 PM I should know the outcome of the Sens game and will have seen enough to switch games.

I'd only watch another game over the Sens if they're getting destroyed and playing like crap. Otherwise, I want to see the trends in the game, the way certain players play in different circumstances etc.

Islanders will rebound tonight. Not saying they will win but they have to be embarassed about yesterday. Their #1 goalie is in tonight.

I was listening to the Senators on the radio when they were hardly ever on TV and no "other" game would have taken me away from that either.

Easy decision. Senators are on, no one else matters. Cheering

Fair enough and kudos to you for that! TipHat

As much as I cheer for the Senators and watch them whenever I can, I am a hockey fan more than anything. If I can catch a game that should have more passion, intensity and skill and also have more creativity and great plays, I tend to get swayed by the more "exciting" contest.

Plus, I always enjoy watching a rookie goaltender, Schneider is this case, to see how he handles himself mentally and positionally.

Sens until 9:08 PM for me. Facepalm Shrug Don't be to mad at me.

scratch OK. But why turn away in the face of adversity? Watching what your players do when things aren't going well would tell me more about who is on my team in comparison to when things are flying high.

Interesting.

I can certainly relate. My son is a goaler and I like to watch what the pros do right and sometimes do wrong. Maybe I'll watch young Schneider as well... after the mighty Sens destroy the sad sack Isles! Dancing

In that case, after the Sens game is over, do your son a solid and tune into the Canucks game. Watching other techniques, good or bad, is one of the best ways to learn. Young Schneider is as positionally sound as they come. His rebounds need work and he doesn't trust his position enough, but he is a good one to study.

Good advice CR, at the very least I'll PVR the game for him.
