Good question.

Kovalev might be out. Maybe this means Regin will be on the top line?

Thoughts?

Don't get me wrong. I like Regin, I see him being a regular contributor in the future, but at this point in time he has not shown the consistency I want to see in the top six.

Trouble is, Foligno has not shown much since the pre-season either, and Kovalev has played himself down to the 4th line. So now appear to have two top-six positions open, so sure, go ahead and slot Regin up there since we don't really have much of a choice.

But stop SF56ing about it.

Regin is a great talent, strong on his skates, intelligent, great passer with a bullet shot. He and Spezza should be together with Alfie on the right. I'm sure Clouston sees it as well...or I hope Clouston sees it. So what if his pre-season was average? He played great hockey in the final 15 games, then again in the playoffs, that's enough to hae him solidified on the top line. Why does Clouston insist in messing with lines that work? I love the guy, but it's frustrating from time to time.

Excellent. I'm very excited to see a Z.Smith - Winchester - Shannon line. Regin takes his position with Spezza and Michalek with Fisher* (I hope).

*sorry Michalek, there's no other option really.

I'm thinking of buying tickets to the Pens/Sens next Monday game at Consol. I'm just afraid they'll get a$$ raped like they did last time I bought tickets. 8 to 2 or something like that was the final score.

I remember that well. Thought that was the beginning of the end for us last year.

If Ottawa was going to be buggered, it would have been v. the Crapitals. It didn't happen so I like our chances against Crybaby Crysby and crew.

plus the Pens fans are so obnoxious (almost as much as Leafs fans).

If they lose, they make an excuse. If they win they're not real nice about it.

People will think I'm nuts because we're 0-2-1, but I like the team going forward. I think we can hang with the best of them after the 3 pre-season games that just finished. We should be ready to do some damage now I think.

Did we sell another 1000 tickets because of this news?

I think now is the best time to be facing the Pens. They are dealing with a very shaky goaltender right now and Crosby has no one to play with.
