spader wrote:BSens win! Weird bounce and they take the game. I missed the shot, and they aren't showing a replay, but there was a long review and they were awarded the win. We'll take it.

EDIT: Lehner was second star. Has he had a game yet where he wasn't one of the stars of the game?

The ones they lost. Can't blame him for last night. He has a 5-0 lead and another game to play the next day. Hell, why not have a fight. Too bad Lawson wasn't ready (or maybe it was the rest of the team).

And, yeah, Lehner is Lehnsational.

I didn't even realize Stone was scratched on Sunday.

Zibanejad seems to have a release quite similar to Heatley's. No idea if it'll translate the same way, but when he has a chance to take one timers, he appears to like going down to one knee and putting his whole mass behind it. Maybe a little like OV as well.

He has a crazy burst of speed, though. Very impressive.

His one timer is like Alfies. Haven't ever seen him do a Heatly type one timer on one knee. Hes more like OV when shooting off the rush.

Anyways Luke Richarsson said he was their moat consistent forward up until Sunday.

There was one he missed on Sunday where it was a cross crease pass and he looked to have that 'sniper' release of putting his weight behind the shot and dropping down a bit. Could be a one time thing - either way, the kid has instincts offensively that you can't teach. Same with Silfverberg, although with him I'm waiting to see him use his wicked shot more.

Oh ok, I see what you mean.

This is really Dung video, but here is an example of that from the summer camp at 0:42 (shoots a one-time from the dot). Also, slapper at 1:42, snap shot (?) at 4:54

Against Portland tonight. Rundblad, Gormley, Goncharov and OEL on defense Vertigo . I hope Lehner is ready for 10000 shots from the point.

Two shorties and 0 for 5 on the PP, 40 shots total. I guess they know what they've got to work on. Getting bodies in front.

What they need is to stop taking that many penalties. Kills the flow of the game.

Anyone knowwhat is wrong with Stone & Gryba? Injuries to them + Cowen hurts the defense at least.

Hoping for a better game today. Does Lehner start or is it Bishop?

What's Sandy up to?

Sandy, expected to come ashore late on Monday, could deliver a harsh blow to major cities in its target zone including New York, Philadelphia, Washington, Baltimore and Boston. Its center was forecast to strike New York-New Jersey area and then move inland toward Philadelphia and the rest of Pennsylvania.

The sheer size of the storm meant its effects would be felt from the mid-Atlantic states to New England. Officials warned of widespread power outages that could last for days.

In New York City, subway, bus and train service will be suspended on Sunday evening and up to 375,000 people were ordered to evacuate from low-lying areas.

375K people evacuated! I don't remember last time that happened in NYC. Except maybe "The Day After Tomorrow".

Losing 3 - 0 to some team right now. I thought this was basically a bunch of NHLers waiting for the lockout to be over?
