Ultimately that lineup, whatever it looks like on opening day, will shift frequently based on merit and instructions from the Mother Ship.

Part of the Richardson hire is that he will be a yes-man for the Murray's, something Kleinendorst was apparently reluctant to do.

Yes and no IMO.

I think you're talking about things like asking Richardson to put Zibanejad on the left wing instead of C. And that's something that I guess you have to talk about between Richardson and Murray/MacLean, but other than that, I doubt highly there are any demands from above. Unless he sits someone like Pageau and Prince because they're rookies and perhaps the Murrays don't want them to sit, something like that for example.

Unless Richardson doesn't play someone and sits him constantly, I doubt there'll be much interference.

A lot of NHL teams sent a lot of their players down whether they were on two way contracts or not.. Sens only sent Cowen.. they have so many prospects there that needed the ice time more than the NHL players..

The AHL is going to be a great league this season. Lots of talent in it.

Let's hope CBC, Sportsnet and/or TSN will show some of the games during this season long NHL lockout.

Yeah? Who's reporting to the AHL that isn't on a 2-way contract? There's only so many "veterans' allowed down there, so I assume we did our due diligence.

I know RNH, Eberle, Schultz are going down... are they still on ELC contracts?

So their training camp starts in Bingo... I guess we Sens fans in Ottawa don't get to see any of it... Too bad...

As I said on HF (because no one here seems to give a crap about Bingo), there are 9 AHL caliber D-men in Bingo, so I would imagine Wideman, Claesson and/or Blood will start in the ECHL.

Cowen, Benoit, Gryba, Eckford, Wiercioch, Borowiecki will be the starting six unless there are injuries - you can't really sit any of them - and the other three need to play. Especially Wideman, a guy who has a lot of skill - needs to get his game going somewhere.

B.S. I gave enough of a crap to say that Luke Richardson is a yes-man.

Smile That you did. I was actually wondering this morning exactly what he knows about head coaching. This is soooo important to the Senators in terms of player development.

I guess he's got the "what it takes to be a pro" thing working. Besides, he had to have picked up something from NHL coaches in 21 (!!!) freaking seasons in the league. I think he will be a fine coach but a yes-man nonetheless.

I care enough to see the guys develop but I won't go out of my way to line the pockets of players that are still in the NHLPA and forcing other guys out of jobs. Couple buddies I know have lost their spot due to the trickle down effect in the ECHL. Won't support any professional league right now.

That's true, there will be jobs lost, especially in the ECHL.

Yup, effected my friend directly and is a big reason why I will not support the NHL for a long, long time if they lose even 1 game. Sick of it all. Sick of the every day people that will have trouble making ends meet because of layoffs, sick of the players that will lose jobs because NHLers feel the need to "play" (which is BS), sick of the players thinking they are way more important than they are, and just basically sick of professional hockey in general.

The guys are treated like kings and act like spoiled brats. Air travel for 1 player every year costs more than the average person makes in a year. They probably go through more sticks in a year than the average person makes too. It's complete garbage.

That's why they have basically zero support this time around. Completely unnecessary for these guys not to have an agreement in place.

Yup. They didn't have any support last time but I think more people understood what was going on. This time... its a joke and nothing short of that. People are sick of them and honestly, apathy is setting in.

If I can be considered average, then this is correct. I don't make a single stick in an average year. Not one! Sarcasm

What makes you say that? I care about Bingo.
