It really depends. For all we know Leclaire gets hurt week 1, Elliott and Lehner split time, and Lehner takes over by season's end. I mean, the logical move is to not hit the panic button just yet. As of this moment, I'd be in zero rush to re-sign Leclaire. He's going to have to perform miracles and cease his opportunities if Ottawa is to re-sign him. That being said, Vokoun can be had for Kovalev money next year without giving up an asset. If the Sens seriously think they're contenders this year (which I don't think they are) then I'd be okay with giving up one of Gryba, Rundblad, Cowen or Wiercioch if a move to improve the franchise long-term presents itself. A year in the AHL will be incredibly beneficial for Lehner but I don't think he lasts more than a couple of months down there. I wouldn't mind him dominating the World Jrs and have him come up after that. Leclaire will for sure be hurt by then!
I think you meant to say "seize his opportunities" but it might be a lot closer to reality the other way. And now I'm not sure if I should laugh or cry.
