He's a different player then Alfi. Better skater and more of a north/south player. I dont think he will ever think the game like Alfi does or control the play, but he could be the next big thing in Ottawa in terms of forwards. Just different players.

I see a lot of Alfie circa 2006/07 in him, where he's really aggressive in pursuing the puck and has the skills to either get a pass away or create a chance for himself. Not that he's as good as that Alfredsson, but I see a lot of the same qualities.

Why did the Pittsburgh media give Cullen the 2nd star? He was fine, but he didn't really stand out to me at least

I guess this is a guy that will show up when the pressure is on, I dont think his confidence could be higher. No matter what like I said before they scored that OT goal, The Sens didnt quit and the sacrafice was from almost everyone.

We need the same intensity and game from them on Saturday night. COME ON BOYS!!! MAKE IT Diddling HAPPEN!!!

Yes we do. That win should put a lot of wind in the sails of The Sens and Pitts should be getting worn down now. If Leclaire can come out with a performance like that again at home, there is no way The Sens lose.

Everyone was correct in saying The Sens wouldnt win without great goaltending, tonight they got it. Good wasnt going to be good enough.

I dont see any Alfi in Regin, sorry. Regin is a different player.

That's what I said. We needed our goalie at some point to make saves - even ones that weren't necessarily makeable. They got that tonight. I can't wait to see how they come out Saturday night.

This was a beyond impressive win. Leclaire pulled off the steal and the Sens have some momentum. As others have said already, I couldn't be happier eating my words. The great goaltending has to continue for the Sens to have a chance.

As a side note, you can see a small piece of Crosby die after that OT goal goes in. Losing those lengthy overtime games has always been a difficult matter for teams to bounce back from. I say we kick them while they're down.

I see you already summed up my post right here. Cosign.

The Penguins won Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals in 2008 by a Sykora goal in the 3rd OT, and Detroit won the next game to take the Cup. Just putting it in perspective.

Agreed, which is why I think the Sens will still need great goaltending to pull out another win. I definitely don't think Pittsburgh will fold, quite the contrary.

OMG, I just finished watching this on the PVR. I had issues and could not watch live. I cannot express how difficult it was *NOT* checking the score.

This one is going back to Ottawa for one more go at it.

I did not think I would ever watch a game with refereeing as biased as that Women's Olymppic Gold Medal Game in Salt Lake City, but this one probably comes close. Anyone thinking the fix was not int, I feel sorry for *YOU*.

I could name 5-6 Senators that could have had a star tonight. The shot blocking and goaltending in that OT was crazy.

Are you joking me? Even in a win you still complain? Sometimes I'm so embarrassed to be a Sens fan...

Huh, I don't really see why. When Regin's puck possession skills improve, I think they'll be similar. Whatever though, call him a poor man's Zetterberg then, still works for me. Ahhhhh!

Also, Cullen's amazing. He needs to be re-signed no matter what. 3 X 3 sounds just fine. The guy does it all - and does it well.

Of course this win doesn't mean we win the series. But if Sens are going down, they will go with a fight! And thats all any sens fan could ask for! I'm thrilled we won tonight. And hopefully we take it to game seven. But who really knows. We've had bad luck in our own rink. lol.

I think the complaint is legitimate. Cullen getting hauled down on that pseudo-breakaway...come on. The ref couldn't have had a better vantage point on the play. And he botched the call. I don't believe that the NHL is controlling the refereeing, but is it possible that the botched refereeing is a result of corruption inside the officiating ranks?

Damn it's nice to feel proud of your team again. It felt like it had been a while.
