"We have life!!! On the brink of elimination... the Sens force Game 6... let the festivus miracle continue!!!"
The Ottawa Senators (2-3) return home to face the Pittsburgh Penguins (3-2) for Game 6 of their first round playoff series on Saturday night at Scotiabank Place in Ottawa. The Sens are coming off a huge 4-3 triple OT win that saw the Sens force a Game 6 back in Ottawa. This was a different, spirited Sens team that blocked shots like they were going out of style... very impressive defensive effort and Leclaire was huge when he needed to be. Countless game saving saves in the OT periods... at both ends... it was an amazing game. I fully expect no roster changes to the Sens' line up and that Pascal Leclaire will get the start at home. He's certainly seizing this opportunity to show that he still has the skills to be a #1 goalie. Hopefully he can keep the momentum going on Saturday. Will be interesting to see if Fedotenko is in or out for the Pens on Saturday.

So, the last two GDT's I've done, the Sens won... perhaps the "luck of the shabbs" will continue to rise up and power the Sens to another victory, and push this series to seven games. If you believe, it can happen. Do you believe?

Remember when he said "even this morning everybody was bashing me". That was kinda of funny but when Vanilliotte Friedman concluded with "no one is bashing you now, Pascal" we struck comedy gold.

I felt like an arsehole when he said that. I bashed him pretty good.

I don't think anyone is ready to step decisevely into his corner either. Even with yesterdays performance.

Definitely not, but Leclaire is a guy who is so streaky that he could go on a run here and diddle some stuff up. Ahhhhh!

Absolutely. Streaks go both ways. Same goes for this team. A nice win streak will do wonders. PLAYOFF GAME DAY: Game 6: Pittsburgh Penguins (3) @ Ottawa Senators (2) - 7:00pm ET - Sat. Apr. 24th, 2010 159628

CBC should have a live stream. If not, pretty sure you can buy it through the NHL gamecenter for something like $7.

Does anyone else think that the tide of penalties will now change? The refs and the Pens threw everything their way and they overcame it. Reminds me of some classic movie moments, like Knauer saying "Game ball" after refusing to shoot Crewe (Longest Yard), or Adhemar's herald applauding William's victory (A Knight's Tale).
