Unbelievable. The reffing in this game is legitimately corrupt. We stink, one of the worst performances I've ever seen, but the reffing has been deplorable.

Basically everything and everyone is against us AND we're playing like arse.

How many of their goals came after either a non-call or as a result of a stoppage in play? Anytime the Sens have built up momentum the ref's have killed it.

Im not one to cry about the reffing, nor do I think they made a difference in the game but it's embarssing to watch The Pens dive all over the ice, The NHL has to do something about that. Hockey is quickly turning into something that is almost unwatchable.

In this case, the ref's are the cause.

Sens on the PP with a great scoring opportunity and they stop the play because of the glass. Fine, Dung happens.

I can name many more but I will just add one more:

Kunitz shoots puck clean out and over the glass and they say it is touched bu Regin, which it clearly isn't. Seconds later Pitts scores.

Sens just want to hurt them for the next 3 games

Dude, there is no shot this series is coming back to Ottawa. Pens are in their head, they are getting the calls, the breaks (they are working for them) and Ottawa is out classed.

There has to be changes in Ottawa with the front line players because the one guy who had to come through (Spezza) didnt even come close to being anything but the worst player in this series.

The Sens are no different with or without Spezza, get rid of him while you can because all he is, is a loser. Spezza with a NTC for 5 years, at 7 mil... no thanks. He's the type of guy that would ask for a trade on July 1st.

This game was the exact replica of the last one. Pens score first, Sens come hitting everything that moves, get some pressure and the defense get caught, breakaway, goal...
The D is too slow, our goalies are average and they have the 2 best centers in the game... the anomaly would be if they don't score on the breakaway.

They're just better, there's nothing to debate.

Sorry to disagree, but that honour goes to Volchenkov. 3 times tonight he caused turnovers at the offensive blueline by bailing out early for fear of getting beat. He is garbage when he doesn't play agressive.

Welcome to the new NHL folks. The one where the league picks a couple of teams and paves the way to the finals for them with slanted officiating. Hope Murray and co. sound off on this Dung refereeing tonight. I'm genuinely embarrassed to be a hockey fan today. The reffing is worse than the NBAs Noe. Pathetic.

Oh god, I was waiting for a conspiracy theorist to show up.

It wasn't that bad, people just use the refs as scapegoats ALL THE TIME. For every sport, whenever a team loses, their fans blame the refs.

Plus, if the NHL really had a hand in the Penguins wins, they would have made Ottawa win tonight to try to stretch the series to 7 games to make as much money as possible. If they already picked the Penguins to go to the Finals, why not make every one of their series last 7 games?

I hope your comment wasn't 100% serious.

it's not an accident that the 3 Canadian teams in the playoffs are struggling and have had tilted ice.

Maybe the 6 teams should pull out of the NHL and start a league of their own - add some more cities too. The NHL is nothing without the 6 Canadian teams.

He was pretty bad too, might be a tie for sure. Point being is Spezza still has 35 million left on his deal and this is basically what we can expect from him. If people are happy with what they saw from him in his last 3 playoff series well, I feel bad for ya.

Spezza has been awful for 34 months the past 3 years, 2 good months this season after 1/2 the league was tired form The Olympics. The Sens have to get rid of him, I dont see how you can move forward with someone who just doesnt have anything other then a losers mentality.
