This is an opportunity of a lifetime for Cheechoo. He failed this year at the NHL level and he's actually getting a chance to play in the post-season.

If he does nothing, then he can pack his bags and start looking for a house to rent in Binghamton.

You are not wrong to think, but you are wrong.

Crosby stood Alfie up, more than anything. Alfie had the puck in his feet and trying to find it. Would have been nice if one of his buddies would holler "Look out!" though.

Would also have been nice to have one of our players out there put Crosby's teeth right down his throat for him. GAME 4 - 2010 Stanley Cup GAME DAY: Ottawa Senators (1) @ Pittsburgh Penguins (2), Tuesday Apr. 20, 2010 - 7:00PM EST. - Page 22 54934

Or a cross-check to windpipe? GAME 4 - 2010 Stanley Cup GAME DAY: Ottawa Senators (1) @ Pittsburgh Penguins (2), Tuesday Apr. 20, 2010 - 7:00PM EST. - Page 22 159628

1 - Finish EVERY check like you're trying to plant the guy in the 200 level.

2 - Clear the front of the net, hit when it's appropriate, and take away time and space

3 - If there's a break down and a sure goal about to happen take the damn penalty to prevent the goal.

4 - Finally - Do what was done to Crosby all his career (outside of games 2 and 3) in Ottawa and hold him off the score sheet. No it's not way easier said than done. No it's not impossible as the media would have you believe that Crosby is god like and nothing you can do will stop his strength of will and determination. The Sens have a history of stopping him - Just look at the game tape, lather, rinse, repeat.

Those kinda sound like micro, to me. I mean, you're ven telling them *where* to plant the guy on every finished check.

I can see where you're coming from but it's not like I said to plant them in Row F seat 6 and 7 of sections 201 or 215 depending on which end we're playing in at the time. Sarcasm

Even so, those are probably the ideal spots to put them.

Wow, Alfi playing hurt again. I bet this is some insane injury too where he would normally be off weeks. People wonder why Alfi gets a pass? This is why, he does nothing but give everything he has to his team and city.

All that said, Spezza needs to play the game of his life tonight to actually not be the scape goat here, is it unfair? Maybe... I dont think so. He makes the big bucks, he asks for the responsibility, he says all the right things, we'll see what #19 is made of tonight.

Wow.

StubHub has tickets in 116 (center ice) for $699 each! And that's row C. Section 107 (blue line) is $369 (also row C). Ouch.

Capitaltickets.ca has 2 tickets in 112 (behind the goal, off to the side) for $330 all taxes and everything -- that's for 2 tickets.

Wow.

It was a sell out Sunday but it wasn't a capacity crowd (20,100ish was the total with a packed house being 20,500). I'm not surprised at all.

For those wanting to point to the Pens 150+ consecutive sellouts you can cram it because if Ottawa was the team that went to the finals in 2008 then again in 2009 and won the cup you would see the same thing and you'd see a waiting list for season seats for sure.

You just have to look at 2007 to see what would have happened had the Sens won the Cup the next season. 2007 cup run got the season seat base to 13,000 a cup the following year would have gotten the Sens to max season seat base with a waiting list for sure.

Don't forget that Mellon is 17K something, not 21,500.

That too prages. Also I thought SBP was 20,500 max not 21,500?

Edit: Ottawa's attendance last season was over 18k and the year before was over 19k which is far more than the Pens. All that being said the Pens would have sold out a larger building as well most likely.

Thing is, why? He hits Alfie, Alfie barely even falls down, looks and finds his stick, picks it up and skates away. If he had gone down and stayed there, or got up slowly, looking dazed, sure. But it looked just like a nice hard hit -- exactly the kids you want to see and you don't want to see retaliation. You want to see it evened up, for sure, but not in any retaliatory way.

Alfie took a retaliation penalty after that when he "knee'd" Orpik. If Ottawa's going to take a retaliation penalty they should make it worth their while IMO.

I don't understand why Donovan is getting shafted so badly here. He's fast, he hits hard and he creates a lot of chances when he's on the ice. Why does Clouston dislike him so much? Why is he not getting a chance?
