E-mail your suggestion to mailt://mornings@team1200.com and maybe they'll put the message through.

Alfie took a retaliation penalty after that when he "knee'd" Orpik. If Ottawa's going to take a retaliation penalty they should make it worth their while IMO.

I don't understand why Donovan is getting shafted so badly here. He's fast, he hits hard and he creates a lot of chances when he's on the ice. Why does Clouston dislike him so much? Why is he not getting a chance?

Edit: Ottawa's attendance last season was over 18k and the year before was over 19k which is far more than the Pens. All that being said the Pens would have sold out a larger building as well most likely.

Maybe. Maybe not. Did they have another 3-5K people standing outside like they did in Buffalo? And how well were they doing when the team was working hard for all those lottery picks? True, the Sens were in dire financial straights for a while, too, but the climate is so much more business friendly in the US it's not funny. The Sens have to build their own interchange, maintain it (snow removal and such), and the city then charges them taxes on it (the value of the SBP was boosted higher because of the interchange). The Sens should have sold the interchange to the city for $1, which would have reduced their holdings, but would cut operating costs (snow removal, additional taxes). And it's not like anyone would be paying more for the building because the interchange is there, if it ever came to a sale -- it would simply be a necessary condition of the same. No interchange, not go.

Honestly, I think we lose tonight and win Game 5 in Pittsburgh. If Pittsburgh wins the series, I think they win it in Game 6 in our own barn, they seem to always close out series on the road.

And Ottawa has never won a series in 10 tries when down 2 games to 1 so they should just inform the league that Pittsburgh should be awarded this series. Perhaps they should let them know that they'd likely injure one more player so that guy should not be allowed to play the rest of the playoffs tool too I mean (Freudian slip?) Ahhhhh! Ahhhhh!

Best quote from there:

29. Ken Campbell of The Hockey News reported Rob Blake was the competition committee's deciding vote against going to four-on-four OT in the playoffs. Blake deserves a spot in the Hall of Fame just for that.

1 - Finish EVERY check like you're trying to plant the guy in the 200 level.

2 - Clear the front of the net, hit when it's appropriate, and take away time and space

3 - If there's a break down and a sure goal about to happen take the damn penalty to prevent the goal.

4 - Finally - Do what was done to Crosby all his career (outside of games 2 and 3) in Ottawa and hold him off the score sheet. No it's not way easier said than done. No it's not impossible as the media would have you believe that Crosby is god like and nothing you can do will stop his strength of will and determination. The Sens have a history of stopping him - Just look at the game tape, lather, rinse, repeat.

Those kinda sound like micro, to me. I mean, you're ven telling them *where* to plant the guy on every finished check.

I can see where you're coming from but it's not like I said to plant them in Row F seat 6 and 7 of sections 201 or 215 depending on which end we're playing in at the time. Sarcasm

Nah, those would be nano.

Bruised kidney, or even a perforated one. Yeah, that's the ticket.

He's fast. He's experienced. He's about as ugly as a man can get. He don't hit any harder than Shannon, though.

Just a wee tad of bias here me thinks:

This from TSN.ca - http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=318747

Leopold was elbowed in the head by Ottawa's Andy Sutton in Game 2.

Really? The refs didn't see it that way and the video sure didn't look like that to me either.

Donovan's knee might still be a mess, plus they're taking a bet looking at Cheechoo's playoff stats that he has a better chance of getting some offence going.

I think Sutton's elbow might have been headbutted by Leopold as he was skating with his head at about waist level.
