Interesting point from Elliotte Friedman's always excellent blog:

24. From afar, Curtis Joseph has been advising Brian Elliott since Christmas. Is he interested in being Ottawa's next goalie coach?

In Brads we trust?

"Gary? Is that you? How many penalties? 16?!?! Ok, but you know I get the better beach house this year, right?"

Let's just see some Diddling fire in their bellies tonight. They better come out flying or this series will be over before the first period is through.

You know what Clouston and the coaches need to do before they come out of the dressing room tonight? Make them watch the first period of the Canada-Russia game and say "See that? See how the Canadians are playing in this game? Get out there and get that Dung done!"

You are not wrong to think, but you are wrong.

Crosby stood Alfie up, more than anything. Alfie had the puck in his feet and trying to find it. Would have been nice if one of his buddies would holler "Look out!" though.

The defense has to do a better job of clearing bodies in front of Ellott too considering the size of our D. They also have to pay attention to detail, too many break downs last game.

He only got a secondary assist on Cullen's goal. The ones on Regin's goals were both primary.

Look, I don't mind if you have an opinion, but don't spew made-up facts just to support it.

Last game, A-Train and Carkner had 6 blocked shots each; Sutton had *ONE*. In the first two games A-Train had 3 and 2 blocked shots, respectively. So he's headed in the right direction, at least. I don't expect him to block 11 all the time, although I'm a bit surprised that in a game like Sunday night he wasn't leading the team.

That's got nothing to do with it. The work ethic and the determination are there the finish just isn't. He will grind and work hard as a 4th liner should. Good enough for me.

Would also have been nice to have one of our players out there put Crosby's teeth right down his throat for him. GAME 4 - 2010 Stanley Cup GAME DAY: Ottawa Senators (1) @ Pittsburgh Penguins (2), Tuesday Apr. 20, 2010 - 7:00PM EST. - Page 21 54934

It would be a great time for him to peak finish-wise Smile

Cheechoo stats from B-Sens website

Games played = 25
Goals = 8
Assists = 6

This is an opportunity of a lifetime for Cheechoo. He failed this year at the NHL level and he's actually getting a chance to play in the post-season.

If he does nothing, then he can pack his bags and start looking for a house to rent in Binghamton.
