On the scoreboard page I see Stamkos with an empty-net goal. That should give him 51. I've got to say, though, what a sucky way to win it.

By the way, I just got back from my kid's semi-finals game. They won 1-0 after being thoroughly outplayed for 3/4 of the game. Out goalies were fantastic or fantastically lucky. Probably a little both. Winning goal? My kid, backhand, top-corner on the short side. Nice shot.

I've read too many comments from people (regular people, mind you, not top athletes) about recovery times. A lot of them are saying it takes a year to get back to close to 100%.

I talked to a guy last night who had the same injury and with a dedicated rehab before and after the operation was back to 100+ percent within 3 months. He mentioned the key was the rehab before the surgury which sped up the recovery after the surgury. I have no problem with Kovie going on LITR until January/Feb though and his money spend else where. As mentioned elsewhere he could be a trade deadline deal.

Caps and Penguins are NBC's darlings. This means we will likely have an afternoon game or two in each of these series.
