Thing is, Nashville has one more year of Weber at 4.5M and then he may be out of their price range, I'm guessing 6.5-7M by that time. Nashville is a budget team not a cap team.

So instead they have a 4.2 million dollar 3rd line center? How is that any better for a cap team?
Budget teams love players with cap hits higher than the actual salary.

Agreed. But his actual salary is still too high for a budget team to be paying a 3rd line center.
Salary would be high for a 3rd line centre, but he would be their top scoring centre man this year. Their current 2nd line centre is David Legwand with a whopping 10G 26A in 73 games.

His career high is also 15 points higher than Fisher's. That's not even going into the fact that Fisher has played with better linemates this year. Still doesn't change the fact that Nashville would be shifting their money to a position that doesn't need filling since they already have Legwand there.
Legwand has had one good year in his career, whereas over the last 5 seasons Fisher has pretty much been good for 20+ goals and about 48 points. Way better than Legwand.

Legwand has 7 40+ point seasons
Fisher has 4 40+ point seasons

My point isn't that Legwand is better. It's that it doesn't make sense for Nashville to trade for a guy who will fill a role that's already filled. They won't get rid of Weber for a guy like Fisher (even though the added pieces are good). They will trade him for players who can put the puck in the net on a more consistent basis.

What *TOTAL BS*! Plekanec interferes with Foligno and elbows his stick up into his own face and Pillsbury Doughboy calls it high sticking? Then Sutton covers up the puck and gets cross-checked twice with no call.

Good kill.

That had better be the last penalty Foligno takes tonight.

He was given two; he didn't take any.

Refs missed a too many men on the Habs, too. Not even half way through the first and I've got steam coming out my ears!

Yeehaw!

I had a feeling about Regin scoring after I talked about sending him to Bingo. GAME DAY: Ottawa Senators @ Montreal Canadiens– 7:30PM EST, Monday, March 22, 2010 - Page 13 270956

That was all Kocky Karlsson. Threads the needle on the pass under Gill. Regin never even had to move his stick.

Excellent. Good for you Karlsson! Keep it up! I have to wait until later to get home and see the third. GAME DAY: Ottawa Senators @ Montreal Canadiens– 7:30PM EST, Monday, March 22, 2010 - Page 13 395361

From what it sounds like, the Sens need to tighten things up defensively.

They should insert cameras or sensors in the ice.
