Legwand has had one good year in his career, whereas over the last 5 seasons Fisher has pretty much been good for 20+ goals and about 48 points. Agreed. But his actual salary is still too high for a budget team to be paying a 3rd line center.
His career high is also 15 points higher than Fisher's. That's not even going into the fact that Fisher has played with better linemates this year. Still doesn't change the fact that Nashville would be shifting their money to a position that doesn't need filling since they already have Legwand there.
