I'm not saying your lying...but I've never heard any public comment from either side stating that no offere was made..in the Kovalev situation Gainey made it known publically that Kovalev wasn't welcome back.

Jason York tells a different story of Chara leaving, and N4L you have to ask your self would you believe me if I said something or a guy who played in both Boston, and Ottawa.

I forget the exact context now....but it goes something like Chara wanted to be the leader and was told he wasn't going to be...or something like that....

You're not the only person to say that Ottawa never even offered Chara a contract...I've always said, you can't teach size...

Oh, Chara did want to be the leader but he never wanted or expected to take the "C" from Alfi. That's very much true. Also part of the slap in the face.

I always wonder if he would come back...

The fans loved him, so did Melnyk. If you recall, he invited him down for a visit in the off-season. Muckler is gone, and so are some of the trouble makers. He'd come back, no problem, but I think this time he *would* want the 'C'.

I really hope we resign Sutton. He's actually better then I thought he would be. Cullen has been pretty good, hopefully can get him at a decnet price as well.
