Kelly has gotten the scoring going 2 times in this little rut. This is why Kelly is so important. That is an absolutely enormous goal. Elliott needs to shut the door big time here.

Now, Im not watching the game but I can draw the conclussion that being short handed isnt going to help this team score.

We've had a few really good short-handed scoring opportunities, like the last one where Michalek got hurt.

But they need to stay out of the box. Would ideally like some PPs but we know how much good they do.

Elliott hasn't been horrible, but I'll be stunned if Leclaire isn't in nets next game.

Kelly and Neil have had very little ice time, but they've been effective.

Elliott isnt getting much help, but he has to make a save to keep them in the game.

The PP sounds like it is absolutely brutal. Dont care if the goalie is playing like crap or not, if The Sens keep scoring 1 goal a game it doesnt matter one bit.

Elliott needs to shut the door in a big, big, big way here. Good start in that aspect. This is where Elliott will show if he is either a true number 1 at this point or just another goalie who is just o.k.
