"notch" is name calling? Or did Neely clean it up before I had a chance to read it?

Got cleaned up for me. I hope the DB punched himself in the face, Id suggest someone else do it but I garentee no one hangs around him and then it would be impossible.

I absolutely hated it. It's so obvious that Clouston has his mind made up about Leclaire it's not even funny. I really like Brian Elliott but he's been give the opportunity time and time again while Leclaire always seems to get the short end of the stick (Yes I know injuries played a big part into this). I now know we will probably never see what Leclaire could have truly done now that Clouston has completely ruined him. Way to go Cory.

No.

He was playing well, perhaps the best he'd played all year just before the demotion. But I was thinking more in terms of what did this do to the dressing room? Combine it with a couple of new faces and it could very well be part of what is wrong right now.

I was really hope people wouldn't bring up Cheechoo, yeah he's a good guy --- useless though!

And Volchenkov...you suck. What's wrong?

A-Train may have realized his days with the Sens are numbered and has gone into a bit of a sulk. Sutton is a temporary replacement for what he brings until Cowen can bring it. Someone should remind him he does not have a contract for next season, and the way he played in the Olympics and since, he's not going to going to get a raise.

That's not it right now, Leclaire wasn't prepared as much as the guys around him weren't prepared. Clouston had to shake it up, right then and there. Can't let a guy battle when he's simply not prepared to get into the net and the guys around him are still hitting the snooze button. We need these wins, we can't win on the road and the playoffs are coming up quick, and neither Buffalo or us want to grab the division right. This is not the time to try to work on Leclaire's game right now, Clouston changing the goalies gave the team a chance to come back and it helps Elliott's confidence as well (after he was pulled last game).

This tonight was a two-statement pull, 'you are not ready to play' and 'you diddlers out there better get it going'.

You don't think locker room harmony is a valid point?

No.

It's true, though. Chemistry was broken when Cheechoo was waived to make room for Cullen. They have to make some new chemistry, and Cullen as the 3rd line center should help out. We need to put Shannon on with Kovalev -- those two worked well together. I also think that Regin gets AK-27, so there's a bit of a problem -- Mike Fisher can spend a little time on the fourth line, with Regin centering the 2nd and Cullen the 3rd.

He's never really had his chance though... He needs time which he isn't getting here.. Neely is right, nobody hangs a goalie out to dry like the sens....

It's too bad, he's got the most potential out of any goalie we've ever had...

I'd love to see FFS reunited and have Cullen and Regin play with Kovalev.

I definitely like Regin with Kovalev. There was a play in the Rangers game where Regin was carrying the puck and all of a sudden, out of nowhere, he makes this really odd pass. No-one expected him to go that way, but Kovalev was right there. It was the kind of pass I have come to expect of Kovalev, and it was odd seeing another player deliver it. But it worked.

As for Shannon, I think Kovalev has a bit of a soft spot for him -- I've seen them talking on the bench, it's like he took him under his wing. Shannon's go-go-go also rubbed off on Kovalev a little.

But that does present a problem with Fisher on the 4th line.

Yeah, I actually feel the chemistry needing work with the new players, I won't dismiss that, but at the same time, Mike Fisher needs to at least hit someone to be noticed, Volchenkov, even Phillips, Alfie and maybe especially Michalek. Cheechoo leaving and chemistry being slightly altered shouldn't account for lack of effort, right?

Hey man, I think Leclaire has every tool to be an elite goaltender, but lets face the facts here, there is no reason he should be in nets right now. Elliott has been the biggest reason for the team winning and Leclaire hasnt earned anything but a start tonight where he faultered.

Did he pull him too quick, absolutely but hey, if the guy doesnt believe in him, then what's the point? Elliott is the number 1 and he should be.

Would you have taken the chance to keep Leclaire in though? I'm definitely not saying this should be his last start or anything, just that tonight was not his night (nor was it his Ds).
