What if the ducks were to put Boynton on re-entry... I would definitely pick him up then. He's a rightie, gritty, and has some playoff experience. And we would lose nothing.

Boyton was on re-entry and already cleared. That ship has sailed.

Keith Ballard is a very good defenceman. It's a shame he's become infamous for the stick incident, because he'd get a lot more press if he were in a bigger market.

He's better than Hamhuis, for one.

Here's our D at the moment:

Phillips - Volchenkov
Kuba - Karlsson (IR -- supposed to be back after Olympics)
Carkner - Campoli (IR -- supposed to be back in 4-6 weeks)

Reserves: Lee, D. Smith.

We positively need one more D for both the short term (i.e., with Campoli out) and long term (i.e., playoff depth -- one D injury with that current roster puts us in an awful spot).

So, yes, we absolutely need to add another D to this roster, in my opinion, without subtracting anymore.

If The Sens got Robdias that would be unreal. The most unrated D man in The NHL IMO.

He's better than Hamhuis, for one.

I'm not sure about that -- and even if he is, Hamhuis comes with a lot less risk. No big contract extending into 2015, for one.
