Visnovsky to the Sens by Friday - (SD3)

Can't say I've seen him play. Anything like Timmonen?

I think the "Inside Man" said it best:

Firstly the Ottawa Senators are 100% in for Vinny Lecavalier. It sounds like the bargaining chips Senators would be sending Volchenkov/Cheechoo/Lee/1st Round/2nd Round.

Not possible without another mid-range contract heading the other way and at least one top flight prospect.

One of Phillips/Kuba/Fisher would have to go in the trade.

Or any of those guys and/or Spezza in a seperate trade? I kind of believe Murray would try to land Lecavalier, I just can't imagine Tampa wanting that deal.

Not as good defensively (I think Timmonen is the cat's meow), but an exceptional puck mover and a commander on the PP. His shot rivals most in the league.

I dunno... that would seem like a pretty fair deal to me, they get a lot out of that and you are sending close to 5 mil in salary. If we had Spezza and Vinny up the middle that would go a looooong way in making Ottawa a legit contender again.

Let me get this straight Inside Man...A UFA D-man, a salary dump, a failed prospect and a 1st and 2nd round pick? Sounds like a craptastic trade for TB.

Try Cowen, Regin or Foligno, Cheechoo, 1st round.

im so against trading volchie , in my mind he brings a lot to the table. And its hard to find a d-fence man that will stay in the back end well a D-fence man like phaneuf is up scoring. i rather do

The "Inside Man" is magic. So is Bryan Murray. Sarcasm

LOL Lecavalier ??

Last I heard the new owner paid less for the Lightning so that Vinny could stay on their team and payroll.

There hasn't been any indication of trading Vinny, much less to Ottawa. And it'd be Spezza going the other way (for starters).

Spezza would be going to EDM for their 1st +. Sarcasm

Not necessarily. If the new owner comes in and wants the payroll down a bit, he might insist on smaller, good players coming back.

They don't come any smaller, or cheaper, than Del Shannon. Sarcasm

Vinny to Ottawa? TRADE DEADLINE BONANZA! - Page 32 62136

I think our best shot at getting a big name forward is Ray Whitney. On defence, its gonna be Kubina. Though I'm secretly hoping its Visnovksy TRADE DEADLINE BONANZA! - Page 32 128942

Obviously, Bryan Murray disagrees if he's making pitches for the likes of Kovalchuk.
