Not possible without another mid-range contract heading the other way and at least one top flight prospect.

One of Phillips/Kuba/Fisher would have to go in the trade.

Let me get this straight Inside Man...A UFA D-man, a salary dump, a failed prospect and a 1st and 2nd round pick? Sounds like a craptastic trade for TB.

Try Cowen, Regin or Foligno, Cheechoo, 1st round.

There hasn't been any indication of trading Vinny, much less to Ottawa. And it'd be Spezza going the other way (for starters).

Not necessarily. If the new owner comes in and wants the payroll down a bit, he might insist on smaller, good players coming back.
