Talk about overpaying for a sideways move at best.

Gainey says he thinks Halak is worth a second-rounder. Period.

So Elliott to Chicago for a prospect and Halak to Ottawa for a second rounder. Halak officially requests trade - Page 4 805406 Halak officially requests trade - Page 4 235689

Who will they have as backup if Halak is gone?

Sad day for Montreal fans for sure.

He is playing some amazing hockey at the moment, just FYI Halak officially requests trade - Page 4 Icon_wink . Stole about all Habs' last 5 wins when he was in there.

I realize that, I just don't think he'll ever be able to do that for a full season. That's just my opinion though of course. Halak officially requests trade - Page 4 Icon_wink

PLUS : If you look at Gainey's trade record; the fact that he will consider trading Halak means that we should definitely get him; he'll turn into gold Smile

Carey Price and Pascal Leclaire both have slightly better numbers than these two as well.

Well, let's just agree to disagree. I think Halak is an upgrade over Elliott

Cmon guys, he wants to be traded to have a chance of being N1 somewhere. If Gainey trade him to OTtawa where he ends up in the exact same situation, he's probably gonna decapitate Gainey`s dog.

I agree to disagree, because Halak is Elliott right now.

Get on the blower then. I'm sure Bryan Murray will be very keen to accommodate you. Halak officially requests trade - Page 4 805406Halak officially requests trade - Page 4 235689

Halak to CLB, Filatov to Ottawa, Zubov to MTL. Everybody's happy. Some habs fans may ntolike it, but whatever, Diddle off.
