Even more surprising was Wick getting his first point IMO. He's been weak - mind you, he has 2 more assists today. Hoffman's apparently looked quite good, so I'm happy for him.

Hat trick Butler for his 9th goal and 17th point! Robin Lehner with his first pro shutout! Ahhhhh!

True, 2 more goals to beat out his total from last year. Up to 6 this year - a great start.

Great stuff from lehner, butler, and the other youngsters. But what's happening with Weircioch and gryba? Not hearing a thing on them so that's good? Andre Benoit is more talked about

What are you expecting to hear about Gryba?

I never understood the talk about him when I joined this site and I seem to recall a lot of it for some reason. In my opinion he is a lesser version of Carkner who is a tiny bit cheaper and a lot younger. That younger thing is the only thing he has going for him.

I'm not sure what you want to hear about him? Does Carkner do anything (other than his job of course, which he does well) special that is worth mentioning on a game by game basis? Same with Gryba, if you hear his name, he is probably doing something wrong.

Uhhh not sure where that came from cockroach, buT I'd expect to hear how his performance has been so far? Whether his defensive plays are back to par or is he still getting benched? Or is his physicality back at least? I mean, I can go on here....Shrug

Gryba has had a solid NCAA career and his type of play represents most of what Ottawa is missing since volchie departed. So yeah maybe ppl overestimated him buT we can still be curious about a certain prospect's progress. I'm more interested though in weircioch's performanCe

Glad to see O'Brien seems to have finally figured it out. I had very very high hopes for him.

glad to see butler is doing well. not that i want anyone to get injured, but i'm looking forward to seeing him with the big club.
hoffman's season so far has been a little disapointing. maybe he'll pull an O'brien and really hit it in his second.

Really? I think you are kidding, but what are your expectations from him? Looking into the future 5 years, what do you see?

The only thing that comes to mind is that the g wasn't capitalized in his name.

Is Jim O'Brien the real deal right now? 6 goals, plus 6 on the year. Is he our Ruutu replacement for next year?

Way too early to tell but I'm very hopeful.
