It's the max contract they can add on that given day. Which is why I checked out February. At the deadline, Ottawa can add a 5.5 million dollar player. San Jose, not so much. General Hockey Talk - Injuries, signings, factoids + other news from around the league - Page 11 668437

i'm not sure why the caps are highly ranked this year to win the cup--if Josse is their goalie they are done--they better hope Varlamov pulls through b/c josse won't cut it--jossee is a good backup goalie but not a starting goalie

No one ever brings this up and this will hurt the Canucks very, very, very badly. Not to mention that Edler, both Sedins, Luongo, maybe Kesler etc. etc. etc. will all be going. They're gonna be dead tired when round 2 comes along.

tsn does have an article up saying he wont be playing with the devils but has not officially announced retirement and would be taking the next couple days to talk with his family and think it over

It better not be a 3 pt game - I'm sick of both of these teams and their cheap points.

:^^^^: I was gonna say, what a way to start the year, with two division rivals getting point(s).

The ACC will explode in the 1st period wiping out both teams.

Nahhh. The game officials will dislike the quality of play from both teams and award no points to either team. Monkey

Watching that LEafs/Habs game, the chemistry level is still quasi inexistant it seems... I think the Sens should feel comfortable playing against either.

Amen, I cannot stand the loser point. It creates such a false sense of parity. Not all 90 point teams are equal.

especially if one of those 90 point teams has 10 SO losses, worse point ever.
