probably just wanna see what he can do with shubert as one of the left wings make sense they just want to see where he is at and if his knee isnt holding up or something and the dont wanna risk it then shubert drops back and it is easier to make up one less forward than one less D

I didn't think Cowan was AHL eligible this year, until his WHL season is finished.

I agree, of course, but like SD I'm shocked he's even in the lineup. Maybe it's because the Habs forwards are like Smurfs in red-white-and-blue.

thats the main reason i think shubert is even in that lineup at forward just incase something feels tight or something happens just to be cautious

He is a little out of shape though, so I wouldn't expect too much. He is going to be a good one. Good, polite kid too. I spoke to him briefl when I ran into him at Loblaws. He was buying Doritos and dip. LOL!

Well, I think this is more of a reward for working his Donkey off and good for him for getting game ready. That's a tough injury to come back from. Impressive to say the least.

Thats true, but if he plays the year in Spokane (or wherever they may send him) he may end up signing a pro-contract, at which point they can (I think) send him to the AHL.
