Camp cuts and other notes - Page 6 78253 Wow, who is that in reference to?

It seems to be a reference to ALL of our Offensive Defensemen.

Prediction: Condra, Carkner, Bannister, Kudelka, O'Brien, Yabo, and probably Keller (although he looked good) get cut down to Bingo tomorrow.

Maybe Brodeur too, but he also looked pretty good.

Smith played himself off the team IMO, he was brutal tonight. I know that's what they are saying in the post game but still.

Pretty much, yeah. There's no time for them to get a clear shot right now, we have too many new players - including Michalek on Friday - that have to mesh together.

Wouldn't be real surprised if Zubov went as well tomorrow.

They like the kid and he played a whole lot better with Foligno and Winchester. I don't see it, but it wouldn't shock me. Its a tough business...

I would be surprised a little. He played pretty decent tonight. Definitely not enough to push anyone out of the top-6, nor off the Ottawa roster, but he legitimized himself a little as an NHL talent.

I think he earned himself another game.

I think you're wrong about the Smith's getting cut down. D.Smith played very well tonight and Z.Smith is a Murray fave...I don't expect either going down tomorrow.

I said earlier I liked Derek Smith's game and I said Smith will probably get another Dung. Im not sure if Derek Smith stays up here though, solid performance or not.

Zubov is really the guy who looked like he had an extra step out there tonight.

Zack Attack had a lot of energy tonight, so am surprised if he is sent down this round of cuts as well.

D. Smith was one of the better players on the ice last night, I am extremely impressed with him.

I liked Smith's game as well. Looked very poised out there considering it was his first NHL game. Good first pass, patient, put the puck where he wouldnt hurt his team if he was in trouble for the most part. Not bad, could have a 5, 6 guy there in a year or two.

Ottawa's blueline keeps looking better and better.

Schubert has officially become that much more expendable, wow, he won't be feeling any love in Ottawa any time soon Camp cuts and other notes - Page 6 668437

Schubert is the most expendable player on any NHL team. He might as well but put on waivers today, he is not going to make this team.

Were you trying to say "another shift"?

As for Schubert being waived, are you giving up hope that someone, somewhere could use him? What if we paid half his salary (re-entry waivers)?

Yeah, I caught that too. :^^^^: Shift was what he meant for sure.
