OK, those tests were inconclusive. I've gotten *one* e-mail notification even though I posted twice (second time in response to my own post) and there have been several other posts as well. I also keep getting notifications about another thread where I'd posted (which isn't watched). I've posted in a lot of threads, I was expecting to see a whole lot more notifications if it's not just watched threads.

I'm a bit confused as to how it works, for sure.

Does anyone know when to expect Cap?

I think someone else (SpezD?) usually picks for him.

I talked to Prager about it, but is Clutch back in town? I would hate to pick for him, then have him say that he was here all along and he didn't want those picks.

We'll give him until 1PM, then makes his picks (SD and I discussed his needs and have two names). I tried PM and e-mail here (unfortunately it's his GMHockey address) and also sent him mail through HockeyBuzz (maybe he's registered there with a different e-mail). So we've done our due dilligence.

P.S. Looking over some of his earlier picks, and vetting them through a couple of poolie projections I've recently received, we are doing him a favor picking for him.

40-50 - somewhere in that range IMO. I picked him for Cap early perhaps, but he still got a solid offensive D-man, so he should be okay.

Well, they are projecting Karlsson even lower. But Hedman even lower (by a point) than Karlsson.

Point is, like I've been saying all along, rookies are nearly impossible to predict, and with all the hype surrounding them they are typically taken higher than they should go. As a rule I don't take rookies, since I would be just as liable to make the mistake of picking on too soon as anyone else. So I let the other guy/gal make the mistake.

P.S. I'm dying to see how the two (Hedman and Karlsson) do, relative to each other. Some think that Hedman is a lock for the Swedish Olympic team, while Karlsson has zero chance. I think it's a lot closer than that (Karlsson may still be zero, but Hedman is far, far from a lock).

So, it's time. 1PM. SpezD, you wanna do the honors?

50 is a pipe dream. He isn't putting up 50 points this year. He'll be lucky to top 35.
