The 1st 15 games will tell the story. The Sens could literally be out of the playoffs the 1st month of the season.

Ottawa, with or without Heatley is 100% the biggest unknown in the league.

i think hockey (non-sens)fans are underestimating the sens. i think coaches and players will know better. still we are not the penguin pittsburg and i`m sure they`ll have a much harder time then us. but we`ll receive alot more attention when we come to town then let`s say the thrashers... i would also bet we make the playoffs, but i wouldn`t bet the house.
all and all for me it`s a wait and see season.
i`m excited to see leclaire play for us,
i`m excited to see kovy on a line with spezza and heatley.
i`m excited to see if foligno can become a top 6 player and notch in 20-25 goals and not be in the minus.
i`m excited to see if shannon can put in 20.
i`m excited to watch campoli play on the PP.
i`m excited to see if regin matures into what all of you are saying he can be.
i`m excited to see if fisher, kelly, neil and winchester can contribute more offencively.
i`m excited to see if any young player wow`s the diddle out of BM and coach clouston come pre-season.
i`m excited to see if spezza has matured into a man.
i`m excited to see ruuttu... well be ruuttu!
so yeah, i`m so excited and i just can`t hide it... Ahhhhh!
now for the waiting Facepalm

Do you actually believe that there are offers being tabled like the ones that are being talked about on here?

With all due respect, give your head a shake! Ahhhhh!

:^^^^: No, no, I know what I'm talking about. To say it's an impossibility is simply not true.

So true. The list of unknowns for Ottawa going into this season is endless. With the Heatley situation alone, there are so many possible outcomes. Add in the new goaltending tandem, an inexperienced head coach that showed an ability to right the ship for part of a season, a rookie defenseman with a ton of potential, a new enigmatic UFA signing, and the list goes on and on...

I personally would be enraged if I turned into Justin Timberlake today, only to find out the Jessica Biel dumps me tomorrow. For Christ sakes they have been dating for 4 years, why dump him/me now?

I don't expect a response to my question either. Some queries don't warrant ripostes.

As you can see I don't live my life in a hypothetical state. I deal with realism, hence my signature and every post I have made for the week since I found this great site. Rockon

:^^^^: You do realize that you're signature is itself a hypothetical statement, right? As is the idea that Heatley will be traded at the deadline and that GMs will give up more for him at the deadline and that we'll be willing to trade him at the deadline and that...........

As for my "confrontational post": That's your interpretation. I hadn't intended it to be personally confrontational, although I did intend to disagree with you're statement. I would imagine the fact that I'd already done so for two pages could have given me a more abrasive tone than I had intended. I apologize for the misunderstanding.

Sadly, the very first one, but only partly.

I too am excited to watch Leclaire, but unfortunately every game we get to watch him, he is one game closer to getting injured for the year. When that happens, we are left with Elliott as our starter for the rest of the season.

Elliott is great don't get me wrong, but he isn't ready for the #1 role quite yet.

I think I catch the sarcasm, but even still: Assuming past a hypothetical and acknowledging a hypothetical don't change the fact that its still all hypothetical Smile

So, still nothing, eh? When do the Sens usually hold their Monday morning pressers, 10 AM or 11?

shall we see that middle jersey at the new sens shop in SBP? guess we shan't be getting rid of this guy, so seeing him in our lineup this coming year is a reality and Murray has some work to do to get back under the cap, when is the deadline again?

Prags, that's awesome. Gotta love Photoshop. AS for Heatley, I still believe Murray will pull the trigger just before camp.
