Bobby Orr probably.

Take a nap, come back and see Heatley on the Sens still.

SensChirp is quickly descending into Eklund territory for me.

This never ending stream of rumours has me thinking he's either tapped Bryan Murray's phone or he just makes this stuff up.

I think the trade (when it comes) will be out of left field.

But we'll see.

It sounds like the San Jose Sharks are making another pitch for Heatley this afternoon.
The offer will once again include Jonathan Cheechoo but has apparently been restructured and now includes a different Sharks blueliner.
No word yet on the Senators reaction to the latest offer.

Any thought on which blueliner it has been changed to? Anyone?

Different from who? Vlasic and Ehrhoff have both been mentioned. I guess whoever was last mentioned of those two was substituted with the other?

How is that different? lol

god I hope he hasn't slid that far down the scale, but then again, these are all rumour guys, how many rumours actually turn out to be true, maybe less than 5 percent? sure he broke the original heatley trade, or I believe he took credit for that, but I don't believe he has broke anything significant after that. Ahhhhh!

He was awfully quick on Kovalev.

Besides, we're talking about the Ottawa Senators here. Not exactly trade central.

Didn't Murray say that he absolutely does not want Cheechoo?? Why in God's name would Wilson try again?? I'm pretty sure Murray's close to pulling the SJ plug soon, I'm sure he's quite annoyed with them at this point.

I'm glad you said it.

I didn't know SensChirp up until 3 or 4 days ago. I went to his site once in the last 4 days ever since this site was posting his stuff.

I haven't gone to HBuzz for about 3 years.

IMHO opinion, after what I have read on this site, SensChirp is just as bad as Eklund, maybe even worse. SensChirp focuses on just one team and he can't get anything right. Eklund at least spreads his junk around.

For someone who focuses on one team like SensChirp does, get a clue once in awhile. 🇬🇬

true, I forgot about the Kudos he deserved on that one, and well yeah, Murray doesn't pull off moves just to flex some GM muscle, he sits on his hands more than anything, which could be good or bad, will let you know end of season lol.

Boyle could have come to Ottawa of his own choosing but he picked SJ. I doubt he would be the guy.

wouldn't help us in the cap situation either, but well, that is just a formality thing.

No he didn't. In fact, he phoned Murray personally when Tampa was trying to trade him and asked him if there was a way Murray could take on his contract. Ottawa was his number one choice by a mile. In fact, when Ottawa was in the mix, he was the ONLY choice. It's only after Murray informed him, and Tampa, that he was out of the running, did Boyle consent to go to SJ.

Boyle would be awesome but I think his contract scared Murray off in the first place.

I really don't care about the circumstances. The fact is Dan "Old Glory" Boyle chose to stay south of the border where he could count greebacks in his sleep while snuggled under his Stars and Stripes patterned quilt.

I kid. Ahhhhh! Ahhhhh!

I'd love Boyle, but I don't like the length of his contract. Add that to the fact that we'd have to take way less along with Boyle, means we aren't replacing as much offense lost.

I'd way rather deal with Minny. Wilson is a gearbox who is going to let a 50 goal man slip through his fingers, and once again his choker franchise won't make the right changes. Much of the same this year in SJ I'd bet. They've already tried a new coaching staff. How long can it be before Wilson's neck is on the line?

i dunno, we'd be doing wilson a bit of a favour by taking his contract. i like the boyle idea.

to ottawa:boyle, couture and(of course) cheechoo.
to SJS: heatley and smith... give em picard if they want(i think i'd rather keep shubby over picard)

i could learn to love this deal, especially if cheechoo manages to find the back of the net 25 times a year.... hehe

but i'd take the minny deal before, i really think mikko could help us out alot.

I don't think Wilson will see it that way. Boyle is a premier D-man, even if the term of his contract takes him in to his adult diaper years. I would be stunned at this point if Wilson ponies up what Murray wants now, after holding out this long. I say, Diddle Wilson and the horse he rode in on. You had every opportunity to get this guy, but you didn't want to cut into the flesh a little. Take your spare parts and stuff 'em. Cheechoo is not much more than that in SJ atm. No deal is getting done with him as a centrepiece imo.

Murray suddenly talking to Minny seriously makes me think that Minny is on Heatley's approved list. Why would Murray waste time talking to a team he knows Heatley won't go to this close to his self-imposed deadline?

Heatley might very well like Minny, it's a hockey mad market, but a quiet market. Plus, he'd undoubtedly be the man there. They've also got some nice players to get him the puck.

well heatley might force BM to look at SJS as it is probably with his top 3. i think if you put boyle in a deal he becomes the centerpiece and cheechoo the luggage...
personaly i think(like it's been said) that minny is a terrefic town to live in. i've spent 3 weeks there a couple years back and it's great. good food, many microbrewries and good live music comes thru often. plus as far as american cities go it's pretty nice.
oh there's a restaurent called uptown there, and you can get pints of bloody maries on sunday morning with your breaky.... need is say more..? :___:
