this is ridiculous and i highly doubt it.... therefore it's a possibility? (the next mistery team)

I believe that word is spelled without the 't'. Unless you were going for mystery, but I like "misery team" better
either way fits the bill, sorry my english vocabulary isn't up to par.(my french isn't much better either) i think i'd be great to have spellcheck on here... less confusion at least.

He answers of course we would look at a 50 goal winger in his prime, but it has to fit into what we're trying to accomplish and the financial plan the club has going forward, yada, yada, yada. But of course we're interested.

Reporter writes a blog that Minny has interest in Heatley, 25 Hockey rumours sites do their morning check of blogs across North America (I mean check with their sources), and BINGO we have our rumour.

Brent Burns would be a great fit and would make Murray think twice, but Ottawa would need to take salary back. I'm hearing (FILL IN BLOATED CONTRACT HERE) could be part of the deal. Back in a couple hours to update after I speak to a very special friend.

You speak to your "special friend"?

[sorry, it's my ADD/ADHD kicking in again...]

Special friend? Is that similar to a "longtime companion"?

You don't have a spellcheck? You must have the little red lines under mis-spelled words, no?

I think the Canucks could be in on this big time. Heatley going to Vancouver in an Olympic year, they have 2 great top 6 players as it is, they lack the pure sniper, they have a glut of D-men, they have 3 young players who could be offered in a prospective trade in Kestler, Burrows and Hodgson.

I bet they've offered Burrows and Bieksa. The snare is going to be that Murray would want Kestler or Hodgson and Edler - and the Canucks are going to balk at that.

But they definitely have the goods to make this happen - and finally once and for all, announce to the West that they're the team to beat.

Goodness...how much sense does this make? They're in on it for sure.

Would you take Bieksa and Burrows for Heatley?

I don't think I would personally, but damn that's in the ballpark big time. Switch Burrows to Kestler or Bieksa to Edler and we have a deal.

:^^^^: Ek said that Philly was in on it. I wasn't aware the salary cap had been lifted. Neat.

I'll take one Mike Richards, one Coburn and a little piece of JVR. No? Diddle off then.

Heh. Otherwise known as the King's ransom and the Queen's virginity.

I'd settle for Carter/Parent/JVR or Carter/Giroux.

Burrows (more scoring upside than Kesler imo), Edler, Hansen (to team with fellow danishman Regin), and 1st.

Burrows with Ruutu = too much agitation for any team to handle.

I love how every trade proposal you do ends with "No? Diddle off then."

So SD, are you saying that if they offered Carter/Giroux/JVR You'd shoot it down?

Not like they'd ever offer it, or have ever shown any interest in Heatley. This is completely bogus.

Bieksa and Kesler would be HUGE, but no way Vancouver is giving up Kesler. If they lose Bieksa/Edler, they need to replace him with something- we might need to throw Lee into the mix.

Heatley and Lee
for
Bieksa, Kesler, and considerations?

The only for sure player is Bieksa as all the others suggested had break out years last season. Does Murray want to bank the future on break out years. A deal with Vancouver I think includes Bieska, Kesler, Hodgson, and a 2nd for Heatley, Schubert and Kelly. It seems a bit much but it shows to Luongo the commitment the team is making to bring in the offensive help to get the team to the cup.

Kesler is a great replacement for Kelly. Bieska adds a new element to the Defence and will help bring along Cowan etc. Hodgson and the 2nd give us the added youth the team needs.

Vancover makes a bold statement to compete in the west with the hopes of also resigning Luongo.

For Heatley? They'd think long and hard about it.

:^^^^: Yeah, because there are teams that are trying to get Heatley for nothing. And if they're not prepared to pay, then they can diddle off. Heatley will get dealt by this time next year. Murray's already shown he can be patient.

Carter, Giroux and JVR would get it done for sure.

They have enough D to handle the loss, especially with a 50 goal man bolstering their F. But, I think you're right, Kestler and Hodgson are off limits.

I would push for Kestler and Edler for Heatley + piece (Lee?). It's a neat little transaction that perfectly melds the skill on our team (Spezza, Kovalev) with the grit (Foligno, Alfredsson, Fisher).

I would love a top six with Kestler in it. But, like Sharp, I have a man crush on that dude.

No they wouldn't.

They love Carter in Philly and he loves it there.
