Let me get this straight...You joined today and your first couple of posts are to this thread, defending Klee?

Umm...who the hell are you anyway?

All I have to say about XM radio and now the MSG Network, is none of these media outlets posted anything until now. I'm not sure about MSG, but XM radio has hardley got any real reputation for having reliable sources.

Further let's say this is true...

If Sather was that much of an Idiot, to make that trade with Montreal before having something in writing from Murray, then He deserves to be fired. Also if it were true, then I would wonder whether Sather was the one that leaked the information because he was pissed Murray wouldn't make the deal.

KL has nothing, but a story, with no facts and no one to comment on it. From my perspective he's lied and been caught enough times in the past that I discount anything he says until I see a quote from Sather himself.

I love how he defends K Lee and his privy "information" when it's one of the best known facts in the hockey world that it's nearly impossible to get information out of the Senators' management until pretty much the hour the trade/signing is happening.

Where do we get these guys from?

Geolocation via IP address(es). Not exactly rocket science.

Our IT guy here at work says that won't give you where a server is. This is a major company I am at and he said no way, guess you are wrong and just jealous of K. Lee.
That must be it.

Facepalm

I'm kidding of course.

Haha, don't worry, the IT guy at his "major company" is gonna let him know that 1) that's not where the sever is located and 2) the website isn't worth that much.

Oh, and 3) that you're jealous of K Lee because of it...

What a tosser...hey kid, go take a hike while the grown ups continue their respectable discussions about hockey and such.

Geolocation by IP address would give you the country, at best. IP address blocks are given to large ISPs and they can allocate them to servers in their network as they please.

What you can do, however, is run a "whois" query on the IP address and you'll see the address where the ISP is incorporated. Again, that won't give you the location of the server.

I just can't believe a word he's said since he confirmed "Jason Williams to Ottawa". Shrug

No kidding. Not to mention the last little while he was blogging at HB, my God, it was just atrocious to read his stuff: all negativity sprinkled with a touch of cynicism. It made my head hurt to read his incoherent points as well.

Yeah, and he was big time wrong on that. Him and Eklund hand in hand in terms of "breaking news".

Yeah but it's fun to beat up on these trolls, especially when they have the intelligence of a piece of bread...no offense to the bread.

The funny thing is, he stole Chirps erroneous report on that. Talk about dominoes! Luckily Kevin Lie and Eklund didn't really have a reputation to damage. Chirp didn't do so good...

It depends on how the hosting company distributes it's network and data centers etc... In the case of sportstalkbuzz.com, they're using the services of "The Planet" to host their servers. "The Planet" have the majority of their data centers in either Dallas or Houston with another one across the pond in London, England. So, in theory, it could be in Dallas, Houston or London. My money would be on one of Dallas or Houston.

That link says the server location is Houston, and so is the server location for GMHockey.com. Personally, I won't bet even a quarter that that is the actual, physical location of the server. It's just the registered location.

Anyhow, I'm sure the *site* admin (not the server admin, but the admin for the bulletin board) can change the local time to anything he wants. If the last-update time was really ahead of the current time, then, clearly, someone had changed it. Why? I think that's pretty obvious.

Oh I know. I just meant he was disappointed in himself more than anything. Of course, his usual "fans" were all over him too. This one guy that goes by the handle "anonymous" is particularly brutal.

You bothered reading it? most of the time I just clicked through to the discussion section and completely ignored what Kevin wrote.
