I'm sure someone had thought of that... nice idea... hopefully Heatley didn't attract a crap load of reporters to the wedding. If would be good if he gave them something before the wedding so the wedding can proceed in peace.

You know, before hitting send, I looked at it and though it looked wrong. But I was looking for spelling mistakes and didn't see the incorrect title.

It's not in HD. Rogers on-demand charges $7.99 ($2 more than SD) but on-demand is not very reliable for picture quality. The b/w is not pre-allocated so you can get pixellation during action sequences. I prefer the PPV channels (you can also record and keep the movie for a while) but they only have two HD PPV and they keep mostly showing crap.

I stopeed into HMV today and they had HD-DVD's... 4 for $20. Picked up a bunch... might as well use my HD-DVD player...

I never got one. I was on the red side in the "war" and am still a little bitter. WalMart is selling a Magnavox 1.1 profile player for $280. Typical prices for TV box sets are 50% higher for B-R over DVD.

Sony can suck it until my current player dies. Then I'll start looking for a B-R player with excellent up-conversion (mine's a Faroudja, so it's pretty good, but I hear the newer stuff is even better). Until there's no price difference or no DVDs left, very, very few titles will get the B-R treatment in my house.

Yeah, I won't be going blue anytime soon. That's for sure.

My current player has been showing signs lately. Hopefully it holds out until Boxing Day. My wife's on board with getting a blu-ray, so that's half the battle. I'll definitely be looking for one with wireless access built in, though. There's about $100 difference in price between the Samsung that is wireless-ready and one that has it build in. For the "ready" one you'd have to get a special dongle, which runs about $70. For an extra $30, I want it built-in.

Blockbuster also has more and more movies, I think I'm gonna start renting soon.
