It should be noted, that deals need to be finalized by the NHL, so there could be another deal or two submitted for other teams.

Rangers were and are very serious about Heatley.

This might be terrible news. Any leverage Murray might have had in a trade is officially gone now with this refusal to waive his NMC. How is Murray going to be able to negotiate with any GM in the league when they full well know that Heatley is serious about his list?

This guy just Diddle us. If you guys thought the Edmonton trade was bad...wait until you see what we get for him now.

A NMC means you can't demote or trade a player without his approval. The Sens couldn't send him down to the AHL ever.

Look it up, I'm pretty sure the NMC disallows the team's ability to waive, demote to the minors or trade a player without his approval.
