I try to find out as much as I can rumour wise - whether it comes from HF, from friends there, friends here, or other newspapers, what the hell is it to you? What did you think this was in the first place? Iron clad? Just because NHL Live apparently reports something, you're gonna take it as the gospel?

Why don't you try to be grateful, just once in a while, for the people who work their arses off to maintain this site, make sure that any false reporting is called out, try to find stories for you, try to entertain you and absolutely know what they're talking about.

Meh... you didn't really even need to check. I think if you had said "A guy over on HFBoards posted that he heard the following..." it would have been fine. Unless you personally know the guy that posted and can vouch for them, that's what I would do. Then, we can all debate if it's real or not and check other sources etc...

I just don't want us to be like "them" if you know what I mean. And as far as I can tell, we're certainly not.

Actually, I think you should be happy and proud of the reaction. It clearly shows that we have a hate-on for "those sites" and we want to protect our gem of a site here at gmhockey.com and keep it's integrity tight.

This was a good thing.
