Latvia actually has a good hockey program considering the size of their country and with their recent world junior achievments by staying in the tournament for next year, it looks to get even better.

Do not underestimate this country, this could be the upset of the tournament if the Canadians are not careful. I wouldnt mind because I am actually Latvian. Its a country on the rise and they play a very smart and hard game. They will over take Slovakia on the world stage in a few years when guys like Hossa and Chara start to age, a little out there but its not as far fetched as some may think.

"Nans" should be a give away if you look at Latvian players names, haha. Ivanans is another on LA.

There are some other that were drafted but Latvia is still a very young country and still developing its program. So far so good.
