Wojtek Wolski is another really unheralded guy.
I can't believe Tikhonov went undrafted twice, before phoenix picked him up...hindsight is 20/20

What?

Shouldn't they be in Nashville?

Wild game in New Jersey. Devils ultimately beat the Sharks 6-5.

Colorado currently leading the Wings 2-0.

Boston's lost 4 straight.

Strange that all three top teams are struggling at the same time.

NJ is a good team, who's about to get better with the return of Marty. They could be a force in the playoffs. A rested Brodeur could really carry them.

I heard a stat about the Wings struggles recently and they compared in to last year when they only had one win in February. We all know how that turned out lol.

Wings just took a 3-2 lead. Man...they are never out of games :x

MTL is done IMO. IF they can't find a stud D at TDL, the end of the season might be even uglier.
ATL with 7 goals over Anaheim???

8, actually.

Kovalchuk with a second-period hattrick and an assist.

Colorado prevails in a shoot-out over Detroit 6-5.

Detroit's gotta get their goaltending figured out.

Green's streak was snapped but it didn't matter as Ovechkin scored a hattrick, giving him 41 goals on the season and helping the Capitals defeat the Panthers 4-2.

Sergei Gonchar gets his first point this season.

Malkin guarantees himself at least a PPG by registering his 82nd point (surprise surprise).

Still rooting for the Isles to pull this one out.

Yeah, but Mara....this one time I'll be okay with it. It almost assures us of a top 8 selection at the draft in a weird way. There's just too little space between us and the Isles. Top 8 I say.

I say top 7. I think. 5th last in the east and 2 teams behind us in the west. I hope... Unless our 2 picks can get us to top 5?

Nice for those wanting to tank, bad for those wanting a playoff spot.

Still, I don't think anyone will catch the Isles.

Don't write off Montreal. Gainey is a very sharp operator. Cup winner as a player and a GM. The Schneider move may be just be the first.

Kovalchuk is one of the best forwards in the NHL...when he gets loose he can divebomb an opponent. 27 goals so far--8th best in the NHL--on a struggling Atlanta team (hence the lousy plus/minus). Not as flashy and overtly physical as Ovechkin but IMHO just as skilled. I saw him when the Thrash came to Ottawa and he is electrifying.

I think he's just as flashy as Ovechkin.

Unfortunately, he's stuck on a terrible team. I don't buy it when people questioning his character. He's captain of the Thrashers, and you saw the way he celebrated that OT goal at the WHC. He wants to win.
