Just saw the news about Stastny. Wow. Do they have any D we might want?

As for Gaborik, his new name should be Holden McGroin.

Crosby with his second career fight but it isn't enough to prevent a 4th straight loss for the sliding, playoff jeopardizing Penguins. They get thumped by the Panthers 6-1.

speaking of fights, perhaps Semin should consider sticking to goal scoring...

this "fight" for lack of a better word is just embarassing

Yeah, that was pretty hilarious.

Maybe he heard about Crosby fighting again and wanted to try to back up his earlier comments. Wink

Also, Boston's 10 game winning streak was snapped by Buffalo.

I laughed pretty hard at Semin. At least Crosby kind of rag-dolled McLean there. Semin just completely lost his manhood. Although that was just the kind of thing I needed to see after the Juniors game to get the nerves settled a little.

As for Buffalo, that was quite the feat by them. I can't figure that team though. Garbage one day, world-beaters the next. But solid effort from them tonight.

Wow Semin. I think you should stick to scoring, because that was embarrassing. I still want to see Ovechkin have a real fight. OV isn't exactly a pushover...

That Semin is awesome. Scores and can throw bombs. My 5 year old daughter throws bombs like that.

Bryan Little left the Atlanta - Tampa game with a rib injury and didn't return.

Zach Bogosian's on a conditioning stint in Chicago.

I'm looking forward to seeing him return. What a monster.

Backstrom with a 33 save shutout over the Avs. Think they miss Stastny and Sakic?

Rivet, the Sabres captain (how Pominville didn't get the C is beyond me), is about set to return. More great news for Ottawa playoff hopefuls. Rolling Eyes

Canadiens trade for TJ Kemp from Pittsburgh. Not entirely sure who he is.

he has decent AHL numbers, but is in no way an NHL caliber player. This seems like a move just to keep the AHL team with 6 Dmen. Weber was called up, so it could simply be to take his place(although I believe O'Byrne or someone was sent down). I have a feeling something may be up in Hab land, that involves moving a Dman.

Now Pittsburgh gets shut-out 4-0 by the Rangers.

WTF is going on over there? Do they miss Gonchar and Malone that much?

Is it physically impossible for the Isles to win a game? Suspect

They seem like a lock for Tavares.

Fine by me. I'll gladly "settle" for the 2nd pick if the Isles take Tavares 1st overall. Despite Hedman's perceived weak performance in this tournament there are a couple of factors that need to be taken into consideration. First, he was playing on a smaller ice surface which he isn't as comfortable on, and secondly, he was coming off a shoulder injury he suffered in November that caused him to miss several weeks. Not trying to make excuses, but I don't think he was at 100%

This year, I'd like to see us take Hedman, by hook or by crook, then worry about a stud forward in 2010. This guy's potential is just too good to pass up. Hell, if we could deal Kuba, Fisher, Vermette, Kelly or any of our assets for another high to mid pick in this draft, we'd be in good shape to add an impact forward as well as Hedman.

I don't think this turnaround is as simple as dealing a few guys, like Spezza, who some say is a cancer. This entire team has been too bad for too long. I think we are back to competing seriously again in 2011. By then our blueline ought to be looking quite nice.

So I am going to open this can of worms. If I am Murray, I cannot deal Chris Phillips fast enough. He's an abyssmal -20 or something and his stock can go nowhere but down. Deal him now while his value is still high please. If we rebuild, he would be an asset that could fetch a very nice return. I'll take Backlund from Calgary please.

I am of the opinion that Murray will not be around long enough to make any more changes on this team. It's time to bring in a new GM, who will put their own fingerprint on this team, and finally give Sens fans something to cheer about

Murray has done a fine job in the scouting Department and has done some decent drafting. He also made some nice additions and subtractions. The problem is the pieces he hasn't picked up. On the bright side when Murray leaves as GM that team usually does well shortly after so who knows.
