If 6 Habs are voted in for the All Star game, I would think the NHL scraps the online voting. Go back to ballots at the areanas.

I like that idea Hem. I think they should go back to that anyway. Make people put a little bit of effort in to vote I say.

Yeah. I mean, people who are fans who can't afford or don't go to games for whatever reason sort of get the shaft, but it would a long way towards protecting the integrity of the voting.

Right now it's a straight up joke. Tanguay over guys like Crosby, Malkin, and Ovechkin? Please.

Komisarek is a nice D man and so is Markov but ahead of all other D in the EAST?? Really? Not if you're honest with yourself.

Mathieu Dandeneault has a broken arm. Defensemen are falling like flies (he's a part-time defenseman).

Miller says ref used profanity. While he won't say what prompted this, he was questioning him about something and says "To be honest, I was respectful".

Sure, Ryan, you probably asked something like: "With all due respect, how far is your head up your arse to miss that?"

Ref suspended for 2 years for fighting with a player:

Man, it's almost Christmas. What's with all the ugly?

They say it went on for about a minute. I wonder if it's on YouTube Smile

Wow. Refs fighting. I like it :D

Seriously though. What's with the shotty reffing lately? The other night Ottawa's got the puck on a delayed Tampa call. Ottawa fires the puck, it deflects off of Smith's pads and the ref blows the play dead?? What?

There is a definite bias against skilled players. I still remember how Hossa would be wrangled on his way into the offensive zone with no calls, but heaven forbid if he should wave his stick in the general direction of the opposition player's mid-section if he lost the puck: hooking.

The Sens may still be suffering from the "Elite" tag. To make it a more balanced game they tilt the ice (figuratively) by raising the infraction thresholds for the perceived weaker team or player. Maybe Alfie should skate over to the refs before each game and show them the Conference Standings printout.

Leafs have scored 13 goals in their past two games. affraid

EDIT: Also, Malkin with 59 points on the season now. I bet he hits 70 before Spezza hits 30.

2nd EDIT: Correct me if I'm wrong, but was that not Pogge's first career NHL win? If so, congrats.

What the **** has happened to Pittsburgh? Suspect

Albeit they did win in OT against Buffalo.

EDIT: Also, if any of you were fortunate enough to change from the Flyers game to the Caps game, you would have seen an absolutely inhuman effort from Ovechkin.

2nd EDIT: Finally, whodathunk it? Now the Bruins are only 1 point behind San Jose, although they have played one more game.

3rd EDIT: James Neal with his first career hattrick for Dallas.

4th EDIT: John Quick with his first shut-out, as well. Columbus is just hopeless without Brassard offensively. Maybe we can peddle Vermette off to them for a Kris Russell or something. Razz

Phew, busy night.

Of course, I mention Boston gaining so San Jose has to lay a beat-down on Vancouver. They were up 5-0 by the 21st minute of the game.

A San Jose - Boston final would be pretty interesting. Jumbo Joe versus his former team.

Paul Stastny with a broken arm. Gaborick held out of wild games to get his groin under control.

Just saw the news about Stastny. Wow. Do they have any D we might want?

As for Gaborik, his new name should be Holden McGroin.

Crosby with his second career fight but it isn't enough to prevent a 4th straight loss for the sliding, playoff jeopardizing Penguins. They get thumped by the Panthers 6-1.
