LOL..

Is that all? only 10% are lefties? I thought we were more that that...

If it's only 10%, how come three out of four of my kids are lefties?
And neither myself or my wife are?

And no, the milkman, mailman, or anyone else isn't left-handed either. And they don't look like them.

All evidence points to a recessive gene.

So I just realized this:

If we win our next game we leap-frog that dirty team in blue.

Buffalo victory: turning point!

The translation was surprisingly good. It was only near the end that I noticed the use of "must" (the English expression "I have to say" does not literally mean that you must say something, so it gave it away as a literal translation, like Google's or AltaVista's engine).

By the way, as bad as Babelfish (AltaVista) used to be at translating phrases, it was surprisingly good with Russian. I wonder if they had some Russian programmers designing the translation engine.

I think the first language ever translated was russian, so that could be why. i bet no one would notice if not for the former russian :D

I'm not former Russian. I may be former Soviet (got out in '73 when there was a thaw in the Cold War), but still half-Russian (the other half is a much longer story).

Oh, and, of course, I'm All Canadian.

Sorry,I thought you just lived in Russia for a while. I think we should all post our biographies to avoid this confusion :D

It was a while -- 12 years, just happened to be the first 12. Hey I was there for the '72 Series. Spent 18 months in Italy after getting out -- that's when The Godfather was released there. My dad explained to me what The Mafia was. I don't think I slept for a week.

All evidence points to a recessive gene.

Problem with that theory is that there are exactly zero lefties on my side of the family (going back at least five generations), and on my wife's side, there aren't any going back at least three generations. Mendelian genetics (assuming single gene effect here) would suggest that at least one show up before now (it would be highly unlikely not to, anyhow).

You own a microwave? Does it sit on a microwave stand that's level with "The Boys"?

What is it with the East and Loser Points? Teams in the East have amassed a total of 32 loser points (excluding tonight's games -- The Bolts just got another one by losing to the Devils in the shootout). The West total is 16, exactly one half.

I'm going to the game tonight and I'm totally stoked to see them play the Flyers. It's always a good game with those guys.

Hey if your going to the game let me know and you can stop by and say hi. I'm in 326 Row D, seat 1 and 2 with my Wife and little girl. OR I'm in 319 Row A seat 16 and 17. I'm not sure which ones I'm in tonight.

Hull was on Hockeycentral at Noon today to set the record straight about Modano and his outburst the other day...

http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/2008/11/06/hull_hockeycentral/

He's basically saying that Modano was just expressing his frustration with the slow start. He also said that Avery is not causing any issues.

I say flag on the play.

Something's going on out there...
