They seem like a lock for Tavares.

Fine by me. I'll gladly "settle" for the 2nd pick if the Isles take Tavares 1st overall. Despite Hedman's perceived weak performance in this tournament there are a couple of factors that need to be taken into consideration. First, he was playing on a smaller ice surface which he isn't as comfortable on, and secondly, he was coming off a shoulder injury he suffered in November that caused him to miss several weeks. Not trying to make excuses, but I don't think he was at 100%

This year, I'd like to see us take Hedman, by hook or by crook, then worry about a stud forward in 2010. This guy's potential is just too good to pass up. Hell, if we could deal Kuba, Fisher, Vermette, Kelly or any of our assets for another high to mid pick in this draft, we'd be in good shape to add an impact forward as well as Hedman.

I don't think this turnaround is as simple as dealing a few guys, like Spezza, who some say is a cancer. This entire team has been too bad for too long. I think we are back to competing seriously again in 2011. By then our blueline ought to be looking quite nice.

So I am going to open this can of worms. If I am Murray, I cannot deal Chris Phillips fast enough. He's an abyssmal -20 or something and his stock can go nowhere but down. Deal him now while his value is still high please. If we rebuild, he would be an asset that could fetch a very nice return. I'll take Backlund from Calgary please.

I am of the opinion that Murray will not be around long enough to make any more changes on this team. It's time to bring in a new GM, who will put their own fingerprint on this team, and finally give Sens fans something to cheer about

Murray has done a fine job in the scouting Department and has done some decent drafting. He also made some nice additions and subtractions. The problem is the pieces he hasn't picked up. On the bright side when Murray leaves as GM that team usually does well shortly after so who knows.

I'm calling on all members to let me know what's going on with the following players:

Kuba - What is his injury and how long will he be out?

Volchenkov - See question above.

I can't either. I'm gonna have to find a way to fix that. I may have to temporarily put an old one up there.

How many games for the lineseman for tackling Grabovski? Seriously, the linesemen sometimes get a little out of hand. He slammed him down to the ice. Are they waiting for a serious injury before they remind the zebras they are not the show?

San Jose hits the 30th win mark in their 40th game.

EDIT: Also, how about Patrick Marleau? He's been dominant defensively this year and offensively is only 4 points behind his total from last season.

You probably know by now, but Kuba is good to go. I'm not sure about Volchie, though.

San Jose has cooled though, having only won 5 of their last ten. They couldn't possibly keep up the pace they were on. Detroit is now only 4 points behind. As usual, I won't get excited about SJ until they are in the conference finals. We'll see.

EDIT: Marleau is having a great year and should have made the All-Star team. Ah well, the whole thing was tainted by the Montreal fans anyway ;(

Yes thanks though. I'd like to have an ETA on Volchie though if anyone else knows?

I know. Now it's just those pesky Isles. We don't play them anymore do we? Need to find a way to get the Isles some wins :D
