Exactly. We got dominated for the first 10, then we played in their zone. Most of the 2nd in our zone, then half-half (maybe).

Not a great game by the Sens, but see what happens when you take advantage of some of those chances.

Vermette...who are you. I'm becoming a pretty big fan after all this time and frustration.

Couple of real lazy shifts by Foligno as well. Can't keep happening, either you want to play or you don't.

Let's put it this way: It was good enough to beat a Dung Carolina team (who shouldn't even be in the same class as us, let alone a class above) and it was good enough to get the Dung beaten out of us on Thursday against the Sharks.

If that game brings on the "there's still hope" sentiment, then that person's opinion is immediately worth less, going forward... This team is a seller and nothing that happens before March 4th should change that. I will be pissed if Kuba and Neil aren't gone by then. Likewise if Comrie isn't re-signed or sold... We can trade a big name player at the draft, but right now is just some subtle house cleaning.

Sidenote: Once Neil and (if) Comrie are gone, there will only be 9 players left from the Cup run...

Literally almost fell asleep at the game... 16 500 at the game, haha, WOW, but the people who didnt come defently saved their money.

Sens bring that effort on Thurs its going to be a blow out.

I like how Clouston didnt sound too happy during the post game show. At least he has his feets on the ground and doesn't get carried away by a victory.

Thank God for Vermette, Alfi, and Fisher, other wise this team would be absolutly hopeless. A Train did a great job tonight too. Auld solid, same with Kelly... everyone else, meh, not bad, not great.

def, we need to clear everyone that's not on board for next year. i do hope they re-sign comrie and not trade him, obviously depending on the price. 2.5 tops...

i like that every win the sens get gives them a chance to build chemistry for next year, but i'm not too fond of moving up in the standings. anyways, even if we got a good pick this year it wouldn't do much for the team next year, but what happens from now till the end of the season does....

therefor, i'm happy :D

What does that even mean? "every win gives them a chance to build chemistry for next year" This team wont even be close to looking the same next training camp. A win doesnt build chemistry, especially one like tonight.

I'm sure the Capitals would be better off today if they had won a few games at the end of the 2003-2004 season for chemistry and got Cam Barker at the draft instead of Alex Ovechkin.

I get your point but I am not too sure there is an Ovechkin in this draft. It is a strong talent poolbut I am not sure Hedman or Tavares = Ovechkin and we probably won't finsish in a spot for either without trading up.

I like what he has brought to the club every night, as I said before I am a huge fan of the guy. He is not however a rebuilding tool so I am surprised he hasn't been mentioned in trade talks. Perhaps Murray thinks we will be retooling next year for a cup run?

Campoli and Lee need him for next year.

Again, word is Murray is working his a$$ off to sign Karlsson this week, for next year, if that happens, Lee will be part of a package.

Campoli looks like a solid puck mover and Karlsson will be, but we cant let the blueline get too small now, thats why a guy like J Bo is needed. Campolli does look like he has A LOT of potential though.

Does it matter that there isn't an Ovechkin in the draft?

The players you listed are still guys you can build a franchise around. I'm not concerned about losing out on the Hedman/Tavares sweep-stakes because frankly I can't see us finishing bottom-2, but considering the changes this team is likely to undergo I would certainly rather lose a game or two more and end up with and end up with a guy like MSP rather than a Dmitry Kulikov.
