GDT - Game #59: Sens @ Canes, Feb 24, 2017, 7:30pm

The standings couldn't be tighter, making every game huge. Ottawa can move into a tie with Montreal for 1st place in the Atlantic with a W tonight. We'll still have 2 games in hand though. Toronto and Boston are 2 points back of us, with Florida 4 back.

The Canes dealt away defender Ron Hainsey yesterday and are one of the worst teams in the league, but they always seem to give Ottawa a hard time. Stone and Hoffman are doubtful. I assume starts.

Score early and score often! This is could be the last time we see this lineup with a huge deal imminent.

Last year they played two games in Raleigh and lost one in OT and the other in the Shootout. In 2014 the won in OT. So that's 4 of 6 points in the last three games. But that's still two losses (and lots more in preceding years). Time to really turn this around.

No lineup changes expected, meaning we won't see Stone or Hoffman. Boucher said he doesn't expect Hoffman to play this weekend. I think the win in Newark and subsequent losses by Habs/Panthers/Leafs might have something to do with it. Also there is a big expectation they get at least one point tonight.

I don't really care what the lineup is. is there. Just. Win.

The last time the Sens won a regulation game in Raleigh was December 13, 2007.Pretty sure Neil is the only player left from that roster. This time around, I'll take a Pyatt shootout winner, tbh.
