I keep forgetting about all these guys. Man oh man our D will look pretty sweet if Lee continues to improve, bring in guys like Karlsson, Wiercioch and Petersson (He is D right?). Good times ahead.

Petersson's a slick LW I believe. Damn speedy little monkey. Great wrister. Scored 6 for Sweden in the WJC.

He might make the NHL. There's so many questions surrounding him - defense, ability to play a NA style game etc. etc. etc.

Could be a steal for us.

It's hard to find current info on him. It appears that he is in the HV71 Junior Program, he's not on the Elite teams roster. Could be a good one though.

What number was he wearing? Petersson, I mean. I was re-watching the gold medal game today and tried to pick him out. But there appeared to be two Peterssons (Andre -- that's ours, and another one, also starts with an A). I'm pretty sure Andre Petersson was #20, but a few times one of the announcers called #20 Persson. It was confusing.

Thanks. And Karlsson was #5. Man, I miss not having TSN-HD.

I'm astonished at how unwatchable some Standard broadcasts are.

Yeah, he's playing Rochester tonight apparently...that's what I heard earlier today anyway.

He'll be living the good life, flying to games and eating some good steak, while the others rot on the buses with some McDonald's. I wouldn't complain at all if I were him, and I'm sure he's not complaining. He gets to get out of this city and find some confidence without the media throngs around him to knock him down.

So how does Murray justify a conditioning stint? He was injured but that was a while back, and he's played since then (plus his "injury" sounded a little fabricated anyway at the time). He's basically by-passed placing him on waivers. I can see why (he doesn't plan on keeping Elliott up for the rest of the year and he will need a second goalie), but it sounds a little shady.

Yes, probably. I hope Murray is not working on a trade for a goalie confused

"conditioning stint" doesn't require it to be post-injury.
After two weeks, the team should know exactly where it stands in the playoff picture, at which point Gerber will be waived or brought back up.

Its pretty simple.

No matter what happens, I have this to say:

Dear Ottawa Senators Organization,

Please do the fans of this great team a service by allowing Martin Gerber to suit up for one more game for the NHL club so that fans can give him the standing ovation he truly deserves for being one of the all time most professional, courteous, hard-working players in team history.

That is the very minimum that is owed to an individual who exemplifies the term "team player".

Signed,
An Ottawa Senators Fan

Good point. You should email this into SBP. I think we will be seeing Gerbs again for a few games before the season is over.

I second that.
He was and is an absolute professional, even if he didn't work out for us.
