Second line, put Vermette, with Zubov and ?

And Spezza can play 3rd/4th line center for a while.

OK, so let's say Heatley's with Winchester and Fisher and Alfredsson's with Vermette and Zubov.

Who does that leave to play with the guy who lead this team in scoring last season? Chris Kelly and Shean Donovan? Or Jarkko Ruutu and Chris Neil?

It's a start I suppose. Despite my overwhelming urge to want to blow this up, I want to find positives where I can. This team has had it way too easy for too long. Even Murray is on record as saying "I have no doghouse" in his first year here. WHAT?

If we are stuck with this lineup, have them to bag skates during the pre game warmups. That ought to assure us of Hedman. Also, start Gerber nonstop for the next two months. Despite his recent strong play, he will crash. That's as certain as death and taxes.

I'd deal Auld and a 2nd for Raycroft and a 1st just to be on the safe side.

Best. Trade. Ever.

Then watch Raycroft (4-1-0 so far, despite numbers far worse than Auld)
become the goalie he was for the Bruins in his rookie season and
totally ruin our Hedman campaign.

Seriously though, this team could probably make Raycroft look like Brodeur if we played Colorado tomorrow. How sad is that.

Hopefully it's Fisher with Heatley, Vermette with Alfie and Spezza with ______.

Should at least be intriguing.

Zubov.

Yeah, I was thinking that.

Agreed. I think Zubov's best chance to flourish is with guys with skill.

Agreed. I think Zubov's best change to flourish is with guys with skill.

I think Fisher in the middle with Heatley and Zubov might be a nice combo.

The line Alfi is on will prob end up being the best line and if I had to guess it will be Fisher there with him.

Friday night I would expect to see SPezza with Zubov. They will still want some skill with Spezza and this could be a good opportunity for Zubov to produce with some tallent and a good chance for Spezza to show the team and others that he can produce without Healtey and Alfi.

If Spezza is put with Zubov there isnt going to be the excuse he has no skill with him.

The excuse has usually been that there's no skill on the blue-line to help him or that there's no skill on other lines to support him.

And it's somewhat legitimate.

The excuse this year has been that. Even going back last year there were questions about whether or not Spezza can produce with out the two big guns. Now, we will see.

I would love to see the following lines, although I know it would never happen.

Heatley - Fisher - Foligno
Zubov - Vermette - Alfredsson
Ruttu -Kelly - Neil
Winchester - Spezza - Donovan

If your hoping the line "shakeup" lasts more than a period, you'll probably be disappointed too.

Yeah seriously, by the middle of the second I expect to see them back together... Anyone know if they will still play together on the PP??

I'd exchange Winchester and Foligno. Foligno hasn't shown much other than he could use another trip to Bingo.

I'd send Foligno down and call up Shannon...

put the Sens through a tough hard practice." then they went on to say
yah they skated for 12 minutes at the end. ARE YOU
SERIOUS!!?!?!? Should have been doing lighting drills for an
hour.

I will never pay money for a Sens ticket again if they don't put forth
at least an effort and play anything that resembles something of an
entertaining game. Yesterday put me asleep. The only time
there was any energy was after the Neil hit and Ruutu fight, then
what happens??? Oh yeah the put the "BIG" line on the ice and they
don't do anything (not hit, score, skate) exept let ATL play in their
own end for the last 2 minutes of the period.

GG Sens.

Have you ever tried to sprint for 12 minutes? That is equivalent to what Hartsburg put them through. There hard practice didn't end at the 12 minute mark.

Or Zach Smith. I don't want too much offence. I don't want to risk winning any games.

Yes, I'm serious. It's tank time.

What will tanking solve?
