Thats fine, doesnt take away from how much better they are then the Sens. Chicago is a solid team, front to back.

Man, you're a broken record.

You've been saying this for over 24 hours. We get it. Few of us see it exactly the way you do, but we get your position. Let's move on.

Aside from the Bruins, they are better than anyone in the East.

Wrong.

Oh sorry, I was under the impression I was talking to other people, and not you, my fault.

You are. But if you're saying the same thing over and over again, and not taking into consideration what other people are saying, then you might as well be talking to yourself.

I, and others, it would seem, don't agree with your assessment of CHI. What else do you want? Let's talk about something else.

Like, how many shots before Gerber lets in his first goal? Or how many days before Havlat has his next injury? Or does George Parros's mustache rule the world, or just the North American continent?

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that Havlat last all the way to the all-star game before getting injured again.
Gerber let's in the 1st goal at 2m into the 2nd period.

Talking to and talking at are two very different things. All you do is the latter...

HA! Watch Gerber come out and play lights out and get a shut-out. No worries. I'd go back to Auld without even thinking about it.
Likewise.
Imo a shutout isn't out of the question and Imo Neely you're overstating what Chicago is. I'm not even sure what you mean when you say they're the Boston of the West...I don't see the comparison...
I don't necessarily disagree with the theory behind what you're saying about them, its just the levels that are off.

As far as Gerber goes, think back to is 2007 before the Finals run: Gerber, after losing the starting job and being relegated to backup, went 10-1 down the stretch while playing some really strong hockey. I'm not saying it'll play out the same way or that we'll go on a tear for the rest of the season; all I'm saying is that Gerber is a great backup goalie. he just shouldn't be making 4M....

Chicago has had one of the toughest scheduals of any team thus far in the season and are playing great hockey. They are young like the Bruins, well coached like the Bruins, fast like the Bruins, skilled like the Bruins and tough as wel. If the Hawks were in the East they would be right there with the Bruins and could be leading the conference.

Chicago is a team that if taking lightly will run the Sens right out of town. Sharp, Kane, Toews, Havlat can all put the puck in the net. Keith, Campbell, Seabrooke, Barker, all good puck moving D who can get dirty in their own zone. Huet is the only question mark on that team.

The Sens have to score first or its over. Sens have to score first in any game and its over it seems.

Again, GREAT insight at the time, and forsight... Now, I would like to hear some people talk about the Hawks now!

Kind of hard to say. They haven't played anyone from the East yet.

LOL. Man, I would have loved to see how many hours it took you to dig this up. You have so much time on your hands, especially when it comes to N4L-boosting.

The conversation referenced here is very context-based -- i.e., specific to ONE game back in December -- and so it's entirely misleading to quote it as representative of our opinions now. CHI improved a lot down the stretch. Specifically, they finally got some good goaltending out of Khabby, their D core really improved (Keith, Seabrook, and especially Barker -- who was in the minors in Dec., I believe), and they picked up a good checker in Pahlsson. That is, the addressed a number of the issues that I was talking about in my previous posts.

But spin it how you will.

Wow...now, that's just sad to go dig all the threads where you were right.

I will say though that the Hawks are kick Donkey awesome and I certainly didn't think they'd be able to pull it out against Vancouver. I did have a feeling about these guys this year though, I think they're going to the Finals for sure. As long as they can get past Detroit, they're good to go, and they WILL win the Cup if they get there.

Go Hawks, Go Canes, Go Wings!!!!

I laughed when N4L's posts. It screams of someone who needs to be right because they either are full of crap and want everyone to believe them when they do get one thing right, or they have low self esteem and want to be liked by everyone.

Yes you were right N4L, however acting like an Donkey and going to such extreemes just makes people disslike you that much more.

Anyway, enough about him (god how I wish I could ignore /remove posts from certain people), I just wanted to say thank you for all the great people and posts on this site. Dawg has received a promotion with his team and we're moving to Chicago. I'll try to pop on now and then, but due to his new position I won't be able to post any comments even personal opinions on players as they can be intrepeted as tampering.

I enjoy your posts, and I'm not the only one who says this, you guys are among the most knowledeable fans out there. Don't underestimate your power. There are some very highly postioned people on some NHL teams who are aware of fan sites like this and believe me when I tell you they do check to see what is being talked about.

Thanks for the kind words DW!!

As a follow up...I was told the same thing the other day. Apparently this site is know about by a few NHL guys in managerial positions. I thought it was just talk to make us feel good. Smile There are legitimate people who look through these (this) site?
