Gerber's status?

I see that he's expected to be on the ice tomorrow. Is he "healed" from his injury? Will he be dressed for the game on Thursday in a back-up role since Auld is getting the start? Anyone got the info?

I have no answers for you, but I just wanted to laugh at the comment that "Murray doesn't want to rush Gerber back".... :lol!:

His status is simple - he's not a good goalie.

Careful, you might end up pulling a Mr. Burns and correcting whatever ailment he had (Simpson's reference to when Homer's bowling team wanted to put Mr Burns out of commission and Moe hit him with a crowbar, but Burns' leg was already injured and by doing so he fixed him).

Neither one is good enough to be #1 for 100 games. Both can get hot and play lights out for extended periods of time. The thing to do is to try and catch whoever is hot and ride them till they cool off. Right now Auld is the guy, so Gerber sits. It really doesn't have to be any more difficult than that. If they both get cold at the same time, that's when you panic. Or bring up Elliott.

Here's the thing, depending on how Auld does tonight, how on earth could Murray or Hartsburg put Gerbs back in if Auld remains stellar and hot!?
