He should have twisted it to make sure it got lodged in there nice and tight, then drop it and grab a new one from the bench.

I hope therrien is retained. Prolong the mediocrity!

There was some mention whether Babcock could be a candidate for Montreal. I mean he did coach the redman in his early career so maybe somewhere inside there's a level of emotional attachémeant to the city for him but the media would tear him apart for not speaking French. Personally I would love to see that.
I don't know why I want him to fail but I think it's the whole underdog thing. Somebody throw big money at him and have to fire him within a couple of seasons.

Best case scenario for him might be for a real contender.

I was wondering if sutter lost the room in LA at the end of the season as they had a players only meeting and it sounded like it was related to him. Babcock would probably get them at least another cup.

LA was tired, lost their best D-man, and you can bet having a team-mate put his wife in a hospital didn't sit well with them. Their were battling with cap issues all season long, had to send a vetarn player down to the AHL. Don't think any of that is the coach's fault.

I'm not sure what will happen in Montreal. Bergevin hired Therrien, after all. If anything he probably got more out of that team than someone else might have. I don't think it's all coaching. That team could use a "DSP"-type player to get to the next level. Such a player is a beast of beastly proportions.

Just watch Anaheim insert Sekac into the lineup and outperform DSP. He beat him handily in the regular season (post-swap). Not that either of them did anything to write home about.

Even better would be if they lost at home.  I want to see the look on their fans' faces.  The Ottawa fans cheered their team on to the end.  I want to see them rain down boos and bottles on Leur Glorieux then get arrested trying to set cars on fire.

It is coming to fruition. While I don't think too many of their fans are predicting they sweep the last four quite a few of them are probably saying Bishop wasn't good, they just shot at him and he wasn't forced into making any great saves in the first three games. What was it Subban said? Something like "Bishop's been sitting on a horseshoe"? Oh those words will come back to bite him. And it will be glorious.

Yeah, saying the other goalie has been "lucky" isn't really a good idea, but that's PK being PK.

A couple HUGE games tonight...Rangers/Caps and Flames/Ducks.  I really hope Calgary can win tonight, that'd be amazing.

Man, Chicago is going to have a nice long rest.

Scott Oake interviews Piece of Krap post-game and he started a bunch (most) of his answers with "listen." I figured Oake would say something about it to the panel after he was done but he actually remarked about it right to PK. Another reason why Scott Oake is the best.

Here's a tweet about it:

Ken Campbell ‏@THNKenCampbell
P.K. Subban really wants Scott Oake to listen. He's said it about a dozen times in this interview.

I'll have to look for that interview on YouTube or whatever. That's pretty funny. And yes, I too love Scott Oake.

There was an interview after G3 where he was wearing a winter toque. Maybe his brain is overheating so he needs to talk a lot to cool it off.

This is really random (was googling "scott oake subban" and this came up as one of the hits). Not sure if it's funny or disturbing. Probably funny.

Of course he does. He is not the worst defenseman in the world. He just happens think more of what he could do than what he should do, sometimes.

This Rangers/Capitals game is mind blowing. Caps had the lead 1-0, and the Rags score (finally) with a minute and a half left to send it to OT. Holtby has put on an unreal goaltending show. Marty St Louis should literally have a hat trick, but Holtby has made several save of the year candidates in this one game.

OT up next.
