An easy successor to BM right there.

Indeed, as broken here by yours truly. General Hockey Talk - Injuries, signings, factoids + other news from around the league - Page 35 852933671

I think Neely's been waiting for this day to come. By the way, for all the people crapping on Chiarelli for the Seguin trade, that's got Neely's fingerprints all over it. Same mentality that got Jumbo Joe traded out of there. B's are only gonna get worse.

Not to worry SSF. They'll just sign some FA that's completely unrelated to the stupid trades and it will be shown that somehow that is what turned the Bruins around and why they're better for having made the trade. Wink

I actually think the Bruins were wise to rid themselves as Seguin, who has shown himself to be very immature (benched for the Stars last regular season game because he was late for practice). Now, that said, was the return good enough for Seguin? I dunno. The Bs were in a bit of a tough spot with an aging roster, but still some guys that commanded big bucks. Interesting.

It's not trading a problem kid like that, it's the return they got.

SJS, Toronto, Boston, we'll see who else, could be a sexy season for front office changes.
I doubt chichi would work well under the master of puppets. SJS maybe?
I think Ottawa could of been good but BM isn't stepping down I guess. Shero to Boston?

He better not bring his scouting staff if that's the case:

Anyone find it a little weird that Eddie Lack is starting for the Canucks instead of Miller, who is now healthy? Lack does have slightly better regular season stats than Miller this year, and played most of their games down the stretch. I don't pay a lot of attention to the Canucks, but thought they might go with the more veteran guy in Miller. I guess you go with who's hot(ish) and done it for you "lately" though.

I don't think Miller has played well in a playoff game in 8 years

Why sign him then?

Then sit him to start the playoffs and start it all over again....

I think that's all there is to it.

Just kinda weird to me...but I guess Miller goes in for game 2 if Lack falters at all.

Vermette will be a healthy scratch for game 1 for the Blackhawks.

That is very strange. I'd love to have him to take draws, if nothing else.

Meanwhile the St Louis Blues name Jake Allen their game 1 starter.

Everything is happening.

According to Pierre McGuire, it's all about coaching styles, and in Arizona it was way different than Chicago, and Vermette has had a tough time switching to the more aggressive, up-tempo style in Chicago. He had 3 assists in 19 games for Chicago and was a -2.
