Players drafted and playing for CHL teams are ineligible to play in the professional minor leagues (AHL, ECHL) until they are 20 years old (by December 31st of that year) or have completed four years in major juniors.

I guess being 20 is not enough.

Can we assume this is for Murray? He drafted Getzlaf, right?

"Probably not." Great penmanship, though.

The question isn't dumb. The rule that keeps a player who is "too good for Jr." and not ready for an everyday job in the NHL in the NHL is dumb.

You're welcome.

I wonder if games in the NHL also makes a difference. If he's played 10 games and has "burned" one year of his ELC, is he eligible, at some point, to play in the AHL?

Also, Lazar is turning 20 Feb. 2.
No.

A full day off for our mighty Senatores before playing Chicago tomorrow. Let the line speculation commence.

Anderson will start, and I imagine the defence will remain the same, but I dunno about the forwards.

I get the feeling, despite being a clean hit, gryba will be suspended. same thing as that eller hit. only good thing is it's not the habs, and no calls to 911 by the crowd

Perhaps Bruce Garrioch said it best:

You have to think Mika Zibanejad is moving into healthy scratch territory.

Who knows about Gryba. I would say it's not a suspension, but I'm also not sure how late the hit was...the puck was still right there, but had left Anisimov's posession.

I'd agree with that. 8 games, 0 points. Ouch. Most frustrating thing was that point blank shot he missed the net with. Overthinking things, a break might do him good.

With the way sens are taking penalties, it's a good idea to keep condra in.

With the way Chiasson is playing, Greening is probably not needed anymore. Him and Wiercioch are probably not ending the year with the team.

Chiasson is so much more the real deal than Greening could ever dream of being. Man, what a great surprise.

It's true. Shame actually, had high hopes for both to turn things around this year. Pretty sure Greening will get waived to the AHL. Weircioch really depends on what happens with methot, I don't want to give up on him just yet but there's no way you're taking boro out of the lineup at this point.

Wiercioch has lost his spot for sure if Cowen plays like he did last night and gains some confidence. At this point you have to move the body just because there are too many guys up in Ottawa and a few knocking on the door in Bingo in Wideman and Claeson.

Greening, well he's not needed, no.

Fingers are crossed on cowen. Even if he could be a steady stay at home, pain to play against, 4/5 guy is take that as as success at this point. Where he was drafted and they hype on him combined with some early glimpses of potential; I thought he was the future number 2 guy to play with karlsson.

If Cowen figures out that the NHL isn't jr, they don't want him rushing the puck, and they don't want him jumping in the play then everything else should be a little easier for him and he might have a chance to play with Karlsson. He has to figure a lot out still but it seems the organization is going to be patient with him.

If he plays like last night he's good to go.
